I was able to download my files, after both Reba and Reachel from DAZ-3D set up password-protected directories for me. Thanks to both of them. This is identical to how the situation was resolved over Thanksgiving as well, though this time DAZ responded within a day. I'm sorry that they had to work during their holiday, but I'm glad that I got the files. I hope everyone else here has gotten their files too. From now on, I will only order from DAZ Monday through Thursday, and never during a DAZ holiday. - Richard
Thread: 3DS Files | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have to apologize. I wrote "RDS" format when I actually meant "3DS." Since I cut my teeth on Ray Dream Studio some years ago, I guess I have it on the brain. Sorry. An example of the OBJ/3DS thing is the bathtub created by Anthony Hernandez (aka Nosfiratu), which is available in FreeStuff. The Zip file includes: bathtub.obj bathtub.3ds Based on the advice given here, I plan to use Twoface4.exe with the OBJ file to get the bathtub into Poser with visible exterior surfaces. Thanks again for all of the help. - Richard

Leather-Guy, you mentioned a "make double sided utility in the free stuff" to deal with the problem of inverted normals when importing 3DS and OBJ files into Poser. I just searched the Free Stuff with "double sided" and didn't find anything, but I found "Twoface version 4.0" by scrolling. Is this the utility you referred to? Finally, when an artist supplies both an OBJ and an RDS, which one do you prefer? - Ricky
Thread: How to Transfer a Morph? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you Cin- and Jaager. Jaager, I followed your excellent instructions to the letter, and it works beautifully! Also, I found version 4 of Morph Manager over on the 3D Comic Collective site, and I'm sure that helped too. I hope I can return the favor someday. Ricky
Thread: Hey, wyrmmaster.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'll second that request, and second the compliment to WyrmMaster on the imaginative composition and excellence of his work. The textures used have a luminous, opalescent quality that is very attractive. Perhaps it's a combination of his own custom texture and custom lighting? Also, I'd like to know what hair he's used here. I'm new to the Renderosity scene, and don't recognize these beautifully-highlighted tresses, though it looks kinda like the Casual Hair by Neftis at http://www.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=3832 Also, since I already have VV2, I'm planning to order the Partial Poses set soon. With over a 1000 files, it is a tremendous body of work at a great price. -Ricky
