Cheers.
Interestingly, when importing an obj, clicking "keep vertex order" allows you to select 'polygroups' - just not at export. Sounds like an oversight in that case. Luckily I've still got 2.8 as an install - but 2.81 does seem like an improvement in most ways.

Yeah, it's in 2.8 ok. 2.81 moved the export dialog to a new window and this is missing from it.

No worries, cheers.
At least it's confirmed not just me
I'll look at the settings later when I get the chance and bug report it if it can't be found.
Thanks

Thanks, but that's just the vertex order, not vertex groups (vertex order was there before and is important when making morphs).
The thing I'm looking for was called 'polygroups' and allowed DS to import an obj with vertex groups assigned (such as head, neck, etc) and then use the figure setup tool. I could do it with geometry editor in DS but it's much faster and easier in Blender.

^Just to clarify: that should read "**most **of the props have texture maps but they're designed to take shaders too"
This is designed to be light on resources while still looking good (each promo took about 6-10 minutes on a GTX1080 (not Ti)). Depending on your system, you might need to remove props that are out of camera shot.
Thread: How to Render a Scene in DAZ3D Studio Larger in Scale than the Viewport | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Also (and you've probably got this anyway) make sure the 'Render Target' is set to 'New Window' (or 'to File') rather than 'Viewport'.
Thread: Graphics Cards and DAZ|Studio 4.12 | Forum: DAZ|Studio
^If the iray scene fits into the graphics card's VRAM, then it can be used to render (and will be faster than CPU-only). But if the scene is larger than the VRAM, it will be rendered by CPU-only regardless. Looks like the 1050 has 2GB of RAM, which would do for a simple scene with a single clothed figure and simple background but perhaps not for a complex scene.
This site gives a comparison:

There's not much in it but the GTX 1050 looks to be slightly better to me.
If you're also using it for gaming, this site shows some gaming stats (again 1050 just takes the lead)

Thread: Needing Help: Creating tubes of even spacing on surface. | Forum: Blender
I can't try this at the moment as I'm away from my modelling computer, so bear with my half-baked possibility:
Can you create some new edge-loops along the object with the right spacing? (by measuring the length of each poly and bisecting with new edge-loops until you get the right distance). Then duplicate them, separate them (ctrl-p), then dissolve the added edge-loops from the original figure.
Go to the new object (made from the edge-loops) and move them (together) along the x/y axis to set them apart from the original object, convert them to 'curve' , use the curve modifier to make them tubes (I think there might be a way to state the size in mm, but I'm not sure), then convert back to mesh and move them back to just touching the original?
^May or may not work for your precision purposes, but it's the only way I can think of.
Thread: Downloading purchased files fails 80% of the time | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Have you tried using a download manager like 'Down Them All' (an extension for Firefox)? These generally let you pause and resume better than the browser alone.
Which browser and OS are you using? How big are the files? It's odd that it's only happening at Rendo but I'm not sure what could cause that since it's not affecting many people (that I know of).

You can turn the auto-toggle for perspective/ortho off - I found it annoying to have it on myself:

Thread: Globe glass turns black when rendering. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Also check the Max ray-trace depth in render settings (under 'sampling') - it'll need about 4 for most situations with glass (light entering and exiting twice to come from behind the glass). Also make sure that the glass and whatever it's reflecting is sufficiently lit.
