No problem. One thing with that Andy shader, make sure you have enough raytrace bounces set in your render settings or that material will render out dark grey, not clear like ice. Gave me a bit of a jolt the first time I used it, & took me a bit to figure out what was wrong.

This one works well in 2012 also. Same set up. The material can be grabbed right at the link.

That material works well in Poser 2012; the attached pic is just the lo-res ball, rendered with BB's EnvDome, one of the indoor lightsets that comes with it & a HDR attached.

I'm not sure what OS you've got, but as LaurieA pointed out, it sounds like either a firewall issue, or perhaps Windows Defender. If you're running Windows 8, Defender is basically a pre-installed AV. You might want to check Defender's status as well as your firewall.

I'm not sure, but Ockham has a great python script that I use a lot. It's at http://ockhamsbungalow.com/Python/  just scroll down to the "deleter" section, look for "Delete Props".

Sorry, I had to go check my laptop (have AVG on there), I have Avast on my PC. 

If you go to the exceptions tab, you can set it for "folder". Browse to & select your SmithMicro folder. I'd only check the block for ResidentShield, that way it will still scan there during your scheduled virus scans. Once you have the whole folder added to the exceptions list, nothing in there should be setting off your resident shield. 

I'd definitely add the FFRender executable. :)

I'm running Poser Pro 2012 SR3 also, on Windows 8. Your "RenderPresets" folder goes inside of your PoserPro/9/ folder as TrekkieGrrrl said.

Bill, is there anything you can do with the nodes to fake depth of field on the background prop? I've wanted to do something similar in the past on big scenes, & DOF would've stalled my machine, so I blurred in post. If there was a way to blur within the background prop's shader to fake it, that would be a great cheat.

Possibly change the texture filtering to "none".  I've had problems with edges of transparency maps when the filtering is on.

I was using Terragen (which I use) as an example for making panoramas, the camera settings are from there.  I use BB's sphere & dome a lot, (especially now that I have 2012 with the IDL). On Bill's free stuff site he links to some really good panoramic references, but since a lot of what I do is commercial I can't always use a panorama I found online unless the license allows.  So now I create my own.

This was more for info on the Cube2Cross and HDRShop programs, & how to use them for panoramas.
