I have been wondering about this. Especially since NeftOOn Gal's stuff generally doesn't poke through and morphs "itself" if you have the body morph pack which also updates all the clothes to have the same morphs. I am finding the workaround for posing the catsuit still getting pokethru in some of the stock poses. I know you have to turn on the thin knee and ankle morphs, but it just still isn't working anywhere near what I would expect. Not that I'm going to return such a fine product, just seconding the frustration with it.

I don't think Kim Goosens renders even have texture maps. I could be wrong, but those aren't Poser renders. I believe they are simple shaders with radiosity turned on in LW or C4d type renderer.

I too am intestested in what ynsaen is saying here. I would tend to agree with maxxxmodelz for the short term. I think for a while we're gonna need an outside renderer for those smashing Cinema4D and Lightwave style renders. I am betting on Shade. If I could afford it, I'd be picking up Cinema4D for my rendering ambitions. I think I'll investigate Pixie here soon, stewer's always right on this type of render theory stuff.
Thread: Where are aerial ground textures? | Forum: Vue
Thanks all for the links! I started searching myself on the web (Duh!) and found some other cool stuff, not real usable, but I was able to find my house on terrafinder! There's something eerie about being able to look at anything in the U.S. from an aeriel view.

Thread: in search of tan lines | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have done it before, a while ago. The dodge brush is the correct way to go. I made one for Judy, back in the day, and wasn't happy enuf to release it. The tan lines looked good, but the pain was getting it to run across the seams. I wound up fading it almost completely out at the seam, where I couldn't get it to line up. One thing I did, was I put the bikini for Judy on Judy and rendered her off direct line of site from front and back cams, then used the resulting renders to make masks for using the dodge tool. This way, the tan lines and the bikini were the same. (So she didn't have tan lines running out from beneath the bikini when she had it on.) Since V3 is UV'd in completly different way, I think the seams wouldn't be nearly as big an issue, since there are not two "side" seams. I don't think that using a render to make a mask would work there.

Thread: Problems with Poser 4 and Ray Dream Studio 5.5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Anton is right, but alas I lost mine as well. I know that my brother has it, if worst come to worst, there used to be a yahoo group that had it, but all my forum searches came up nada. It would take me a week or more to come up with it that way, so yell if that's the only way.
Thread: Poser 5 Serial Number UP for Grabs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I notice that a lot of computer theives take up residence in computer shops and sales outlets. I know some people who are very repugnant who do that. I don't hang with them anymore, it's funny, they think they are so suave having every program and movie and game b4 it even comes out, but they are just mooching off the real hackers, and couldn't get a software on their own. It really hacks me off at times cuz I've spent "gobs" of money on software and am darn tired of it. I want to buy the new Z-Brush, and I'm all monied out, and I know it will take forever to save up 489.00 bones, these guys are messing this business up for everyone. Rant over. That is all.

I've posted b4 that that !@#$% name should be changed. I don't want to be a "poser" any more. How about CharacterPro? Or Figure/Shade? Or HurricaneLamp? Or, oh well, I'm not a good name creator. I guess they could call it "FigureAddiction". :)
