Alright Imacken. I'll behave. LOL! But I think Lorraine has it pegged about right. She's there too, and going through the blackouts with you. California will solve the problem, no doubt. They have ingenious people out there, with great imagination. They are Californians after all. =)

*with the woodstove going full blast up here in New England* Yes, California is the base for many internet operations. Those problems out there are likely what is causing the difficulties. Ah well, California is noted for it's refusal to allow new searches for energy sources, as many of the people there are 60's folks who think energy will just appear as they need it, without considering it must come from someplace. All the old hippies probably never thought far enough ahead about where they will get gas for their Beamers and the juice to keep their hottubs and jacuzi's warm. *LOL!* Well, they put the kabosh on most new exploration, and in spite of their insistance that you can conserve your way to energy independance, now they are finding out different. *shrug* Maybe they will let George W's family come out and drill for some new oil now. *grin* Hope things get better out there, and they straighten it all out. Enjoy the day! =)Thread: How do you remap a poser figures UV?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Load him into UVMapper, and under Tools, choose "Split Vertices*, then apply Planar mapping again. It should give you the front and back mapping. Hope this helps. =)

No comment on this one. It'd be like throwing gasoline on a bonfire. LOL! =PThread: WOULD YOU HELP ME PLEASE | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
pdblake is right. If you have the figure, and want to make an object to map in UVMapper, just export it as an object, and you will have a mappable object file. If, however, the figure can't be open, you don't have the figure, just the cr2 or whatever. Hmm....this doesn't make sense. How can a figure open in Poser without an object? I mean, it's written into the cr2 that it needs an object to reference. scratches her head Hmm......

Bloodsong is right clonerz. Use the magnets. For big moves like that bow, make the Zone large. Magnets have three parts, the Magnet, Base, and the Zone. Magnet and Zone are the one's you'll use the most. Follow Bloodsongs instructions there. For smaller morph movements, use a lot of magnets about the size of a softball or a fist, and get the body part the way you want it. Then click on the body part, and go to the top of your interface to where it says Object, and down to Spawn Morph Target. Click on that, and you will be asked to name the Morph. Pick whatever you want for the name. Once that's done, and you have the entire body part the way you want it, spawn one last morph target. Set all the others you made to 0, and set that one to 1.0 There is your morph, done. To get rid of the other morphs you made, get the Morph Manager Utility by Mr.X in Freestuff, load the cr2 of your figure in it, and it will open it so you can delete all the extra morph targets you've made. Just keep the final one if that's the shape you want. Save the file, and reload the figure.Thread: Creature creator | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Take the 3DS file, into Poser, then export it as an obj file. Then, open UVMapper, and bring it in. In UVMapper, there is a function that will allow you to select parts of the creature, and make it a group. Not sure how your going to write your cr2 file for it, but if you've got a 1 piece mesh, and are good with cr2's, you can break it down to a multipart figure. Good luck! =)Thread: Vicky into Millie? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Go to the utilities section of Freestuff here. About the 3rd or 4th page is a Poser Library Reader by John Stallings. It's excellent for editing any cr2, and it will open just about any poser file for text editing. It will give you a heirarchy, very simply laid out, with everything, morph values, props, ect. If your editing cr2s, hr2, light files, anything, you should get it. Just look in Utilities. I just checked, and it's still there. Enjoy the day! =)Thread: EVERYONE: please read. about my freestuff | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

*grins as Scarab* Hey, don't feel bad. It's all greek to me too. And if Phil Cooke can't find the answer, then it's a major problem, one that will need the Creative Labs team to look into. *Hugs Scarab so he feels better* Good luck! =PThread: Elvira got naughty again - look what she thought THIS time! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

The key to Vicky and Mike is "small" increments when morphing or rescaling. You can't hit t with a massive change in size. I have wrangled with Vicky for months, totally frustrated, and wondering if I'd wasted my money too. But it's tiny editing that brings about acceptable edits in their configuration. Hey, your not alone Communion. Lot's of us just cringe when we load up Vickie or Mike, and try to get a desired effect. Buy a lot of Rogain. You'll need it to help replace all the hair you'll pull out working with these two. *LOL!*Thread: Arena (W.I.P.) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
