I swear it bears a striking resemblance to my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Holsapple. In any case, it's an awsome figure!

Do a search in this forum for "Cyclorama". There are several posts by Anton (PhoenixRising) that are very helpful. -Nancy.

Thread: Question about the market for DAZ studio ( Not a Joke) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My own thoughts kind of ramble along these lines - Poser 4 - old technology and old code, a 'fat' program, no resource management; Poser 5 - new technology and code added on top of old technology and code, nice 'ideas' for materials and hair, etc, but poorly executed in the extreme; Daz Studio - written from the ground up, resource management, etc. Is it gonna be the best thing since sliced bread? Dunno, but it's worth a peek. One of the major reason that MS Word even got their toe in the door of the Word Processing world (for better or for worse) is that the first Windows version of WordPerfect (who had over 85% of the market share at that time) was the most awful port of a DOS program to Windows ever seen and did not integrate well with Windows-based apps. Vis-a-Vis Poser and Daz Studio, it could be "deja vu all over again". Same door, different toe :) -Nancy.
Thread: Texturing programs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Bodypaint and Deep Paint are both excellent products but they are, for the nonce, out of my price range. I feel pretty safe saying that the vast majority of folks who create Poser chacter, clothing and prop textures use PS or PSP and other 2d editing programs. As far as the higher-end products working with Poser, they do not integrate from either side, but instead can read-in the meshes and allow you to paint on them directly. One of the two has a PS plugin, but I can't remember which one just now. -Nancy.
Thread: Universal Texture Converter plugin up at DAZ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Steve - I was an early purchaser of the UTC and I think it's fantastic - particularly after the update and I don't think additional for-pay plugins are inappropriate. I've paid anywhere from $10 - $20 for a good (and sometimes great) character texture and the product has (and will) pay for itself many times over. This is an innovative and wildly useful utility. Regards, Nancy.

Hey Deb - thanks! I love that purple too, it's a color that makes me say, "MMmmmmmmm!" Dianne - the floral style was inspired by some of the shots you'd see in Vogue of dresses by Dior and who can't use a proper pair of gloves and a garden party dress? :)

I've had pretty good luck with Bryce creating distressed metals and even better results using Texture Maker or a combination of the two. There's a tutorial here (see "Attached Link") for a technique to create cracks in PSP or PS that could easily be adapted to dings and scrapes - you might want to check that out.Good luck!
-Nancy.
