Check out this link.Thread: How can I make a light source NOT show in the render? | Forum: Vue
Can't do it just yet. I am at work. That's why I asked....plus I am doing maintenance on my new PC, so I am Vueless right now. But never fear Gebe, I'll try it soon.

Have you tried minimizing vue, and then maximizing it again? When I was seeing this with mine, I would get decent results, didn't always work though. I also used the show desktop button to minimize all windows. If you have any other applications running, you may try turning those off and seeing if you continue to recive this problem. Could be caused by any number of reasons.

Hey all, What would happen if you were to turn off the render lights found within the render options? Would it not render the lights at ALL? Or would it not render the light source but render the light emitted from the source? Yes, I am serious here. Haven't tweaked that setting yet.

Go back to render options and remove the panorama check mark. Start to render the picture again....you don't have to let it finish if you don't feel like it. Then save the scene again...even as the same name is fine. At least that's the way I have done it before. If I am out of context, they'll let us know. : ) Akenaton

Great Idea Shadow! Maybe if we work on some kind of collective project or something that would accomplish his idea.

OOPS! almost forgot the space issue. I am QUITE sure that there are people on renderosity, like myself, that have TONS of space left. We can utilize our space for the terrains/objects. Something about for the good of all mankind comes to mind....LOL.

I thin that MightyPete has a GREAT idea. What if we were to let the winner decide on a terain and an object. Then the contest could be something along the lines of: All work submitted must include the terrain (location is artist's choice) and the object...both of which can be decided upon by the last month's winner. That way we can sort of fall in que with the mojoworld idea. Same objects, different usages and perspaectives. Extra additions to the scene can, of course, be designed/used by the artist. Everyone follows a theme, yet put their own personality in to it..regardless of talent (or a lack thereof in my case LOL)

I think that if Shadowwind won the last conest, that he should choose also. I would like to see everyone enter a small bit of story or peotry, and then everyone use their own perception to create an image to accompany the text. The variations would be asstounding and I think that everyone, regardles of talent, would be able to contribute a work of themselves. Sound crazy?

Good point! And I see by your lemon (which I'm sure would have taken me 4-5 hours on a good day) that you are a master at 3d. I only hope that by hanging around you and Gebe and the others in here, that your expertise will rub off on me 8 ) This stuff is too groovy.

Good point Whbos, but what the heck...it still looks good to have a multifacted background.

Yes thanks. If I ask too many questions, let me know. I am really eager to learn, so I'll probably get overbearing. Thanks, Akenaton

This way,...providing that it doesn't look too bad after rendering....you don't have to thide the other portions, and I think that it would decrease render times for this effect.
