I did play around with that and no it doesnt all you get are the faces of your cube being exploded and the spots going in rather than out, BUT you still get the same shadow (and colour) problem.. I wouldnt mind betting all displacements are screwed but people just dont notice because the lighting isnt so obvious (surely there wouldnt be such a major problem). Barrie.

has a thing for hermaphrodites , but they don't have testicles (on the outside) as far as I know. :) So maybe is the answer to #1

the adsoft program does look nice and, simple enough for even me to use, so I'll keep it around just in case, even if it is a 'Beta' (what do I care I use Windows which is permanent Beta). Best Wishes.

personally I'd be wary of using a program designed for dos and windows 3 because it may not cope well with long filenames (in those days you were restricted to 8.3 format) Barrie. There are probably a lot of FREE utilities to do this.

This item was kindly offered as free stuff ... the author spent his own time offering something to you ... it can be packaged however they want in my opinion. Now lets suppose that the author placed a nice fluffy picture on as a thumb: You'd get a bit of a shock when you opened the PDF wouldnt you. The thumb in this case IS representative of the work. Maybe we should complain about the content as well as the thumb ? (strange state of affairs) Barrie.

I would of thought that being able to play "quake 3 arena" and "return to castle wolfenstein" without a hitch would be a pretty good test of opengl compliance, but obviously they dont use transparency ( really ? ) .. I hate spending money :( ... Bah humbug.. Barrie.

Damn, looks like a new card for me then (no more driver updates for my card) ;( .. well maybe not .. I tried using wireframe drawing including lit wireframe and they all work fine.. its just the shaded modes that screw up the manipulator thingy. I had a go at posing in wireframe (ewwwww) and it all seems to work fine but I found that I didn't really like the direct manipulator tool very much anyway so I may just have to get used to using dials (ewwwww again Thanx for your advice all..
