All comment welcome.

Many thanks for your comments everyone, they are greatly appreciated.
After your notes mark I find that you are correct in that the black areas just need that extra tweak to give them some added detail to match in with the rest of the body so hopefully my next render will be an improvement.
BTW - Does anyone know of any good tutorials regarding rigging and animation within carrara because this is one area where I am still a true novice

Sounds like a good idea and so it shall be. Meanwhile I have been working on the engine and have now completed the basic blocks.. on to the engine detail nowThread: Sopwith Camel Development (Guns) | Forum: Carrara
Thanks for your comments. I am just in the process of building the engine then I will start work on the on the actual aircraft.

Thanks guys. I am gonna texture it within carrara but first i'm going to get on with building the engine and aircraft (again) and then everything will be textured and rigged within carrara and then hopefully (if I can afford to) release it all as one big carrara freebie.... fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong again. (must update my flickr page and delete the old sopwith renders).
Thanks again.
Thread: Two questions | Forum: Carrara
The answer to your first question is this:-
When you select the "3 point lighting" preset your are essentially opening a scene file. With this in mind it is better to open the "3 point lighting" preset first then delete the two rocks (theses are just for display purposes). Once you have deleted the rocks then import the object or objects you want to use from poser via the "Content" tab.
I also agree with what GKDantas says. It is easier to load the naked model into Carrara then cloth directly within carrara via "Content" tab
Hope this helps..
Thread: Is this allowed? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The image is just a display of your created pose and yes you can offer your poses along with the images. But you cannot offer the actuall V4 object data. this ensures that if a user wishes to use your poses they have to have the required object/figure (in this case V4) from the original creator before they can use the poses.
I hope this helps.
Thread: Congratulations GKDantas | Forum: Carrara
Congratulations GKDantas. I love the story that image tells.. certainly made me laugh  Distribution sounds like a fun idea.

Quote - benney there is no need for a script for sculptris in blender
blenders sculpting engine is based on the sculptris format
Hmmm? I must check that one out. Gotta get my hands dirty

I'm fine thanks my friend.. Hope things are OK are your end.
Still trying to get things right as as usuall LOL. Very true about the books but I find that if they are out of date (and I have a few) I can still apply the methods with just a little searching to find what is the new alternative and that actually helps things to sink in a lot deeper (one of the issues with being slightly thick LOL).
