LOL! Yes, I have to agree! I'm very happy to see this available for Mac! Now if we could get more of the other venders to listen and do this I would be very grateful!
Thread: Who is Stephanie? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
SP3 is the much more realistic in relative body height of most real life females and thus is one of my favorites to use. (If you think she has large feet her full body morphs have a petite foot dial.) I have as many of the extra add-on morphs as I could find and afford. I use V3 skin textures on her often because of the frustratingly lack of characters made for her. Irina 2.0 is a great body morph for her and Thone & sarsa also have some excellent figures for her. If you are willing to retexture or otherwise customize clothing items you can stretch her wardrobe further. I like her. I wish Rederosity would encourage more venders to make more products for her and the male figures so we could have some diversity! ccbig (Cully)

Thank you for the detailed experience information! I have this item on my wish list and am very excited it is available for Mac. I wish more venders would make their time savers and other apps Mac compatible!
Quote - Face Room 1) FaceRoom comes in Poser 5, 6. and 7, so if you own Poser, you already have it. 2) The figures it supports are all preset, so you don't need to set it up. 3) The Figures supported are: Miki 1 and 2, James 1 and 2, Koji 2, Apollo, Jesse 1 and 2. 4) You can not add any more figures into the FaceRoom. 5) The FaceRoom will recreate a texture from Front and Side. 6) Works inside PC and Mac Poser (but Mac Poser 5, and 6 users do not have the ability to use Koji 2, Miki2, Jesse 2, James 2, or Apollo, -- those are PC 6, 7 and Mac 7 only). Face Shop 1) FaceShop has more and does more than the FaceRoom. It's a whole level above the FaceRoom. 2) The preset figures are: V4 and M3. 3) It can import any head to morph and make textures, hell I even imported MillDog! lol. 4) The flip side to being able to import any head is that these heads are not preset for you, you must teach FaceShop where the eyes, brows, lips, etc are. And If you use a shitty reference, and do a shitty job lining up your dots and curves, you will get shitty results. The more practice you get, the better you will become. It also helps to read Tips and Tricks of people who have already figured out how to get better results. (Not to mention, some head Meshs morph better than others and/or have better UV maps) 5) FaceShop will create a texture from any crazy angle you throw at it! You are not limited to Front and Side. 6) Works outside of Poser in PC, Mac, and as a PC Photoshop Plugin. 7) What FaceShop does, unlike any other app, is the ability to work with reference images of any angle. This is a powerful tool. Speaking for myself, I don't use the FaceRoom at all anymore. I use FaceShop. I don't use raw morphs or textures out of FaceShop etiher, I edit my morph results in Blacksmith3D. And if I create my morph in another app (like Zbrush, Hexagon, Carrara, Poser Magnets, etc.), I use the FaceShop generated morph as reference guide to show me where my morph need to be. This is a HUGE time saver to me. I also use the FaceShop generated textures as guide as to where I should place the eyebrows and the hairline, ect on my texture maps. I prefer to create my own textures. In the end FaceShop is tool, and it's proven to be very valuable to me and time saver. So if you're really into creating custom characters, I think you will love it. bB

dphoadley makes a excellent point. I would add that I enjoy having a wide variety of figures. I get bored using any one too often. With various software you can refit most clothes to fit almost any model as well.
Thread: Should there be negative ratings in the galleries? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When I rate a image a 5 it may be for wildly different reasons. Some artists combine poetry or stories with their art. The image alone may not have as much meaning until the poem or story is read that goes with the image. I have rated images highly from beginning artists where one area of a image was done very well. The pose or the lighting etc. I have seen many artists grow in ability from seeing what was complimented as good in their image. (Myself included) Images are not always comparable from from one category to another or even within their same category. Images vary wildly in the amount of post work done to them. Should a image rendered in Poser in 30 seconds but that had a day of post work in Photoshop be rated on the same scale as a image rendered in Poser with no post work done at all? Thousands of images are done where parts of it may have been done in 2 or 3 other formats and then post worked to death and then is put into a Poser category. Are they really even Poser images anymore? With all of those variables I simply rate highly the images I like and describe in my comments why I liked them. I would hate to have critics or a narrowly defined rating system. Lastly, what pleases my eye may not please yours. That does not make my opinion or yours less valid. Many artists have made a fine living from making art that the majority of the world thought was tripe but that some few others thought were beautiful.

I am still very much a beginner and am still learning. I have yet to try to do any of these things. Thank you everyone for the ideas and tips!

I don't to imply WWE is bad. I do know though that in in my kids wrestling leagues they would tend to frown on anyone gouging the eyes or hitting another wrestler with a chair and I don't ever recall any of their wrestling matches involving a cage. grin 2nd skins will work but I think the depth of a clothing item looks more realistic in a render usually.

Quote - There are a few cave models out there, some free. But, I too would like some nice cavern props (pp2 format), where I could customize an underground world (some with streams, some with pathways, etc.
Various cloud props would be nice too (nimbus clouds, storm clouds, light fluffy clouds, etc.)
I like the idea of props so it is changable. I agree clouds would be very cool too! ccbig (Cully)

That is what I was looking for. I guess the rocket launcher was first a 5 or more barreled artillary rocket piece that later was mounted onto a halftrack like what you are making. I personally want the halftrack with the rocket launcher but the individual artillary piece would be another cool addion.

Quote - Sometimes I think it's what will be popular and what's not or if it will be cutesy or prono as to if it will be considered. One doesn't know the reasonings behind creators of content. For almost five years I have asked for a simple pair of flat leather thong sandals with the hopes of someone creating it and it has gone unchallenged. This is what happens when one is not a good modeler like myself you are left to the mercy of those who can...LOL!
I know the feeling! I am slowly learning Poser but I haven't branched out into making my own things. It seems like many tools that make things easily are PC computer only, I have a Mac so many of those tools do not work for me. I have seen some nice sandals that had leg laces. It might be possible to hide (make invisible) the laces and be left with only the sandals. ccbig (Cully)
