Not to forget their service! Last Friday I tried to use my voucher to download Stephanie, filled-in the form, bla,bla... then came to the invoice page, which was showing the nize amount of all-zippo. Hit the download key and was re-directed to the invoice page (still showing that nice amount). After about 3 rounds, I gave up and shot them an e-mail crying for help. Of course, I did not expect a reply over the weekend (since I felt that the DAZ people are entitled to their weekend dues as much as anybody else), but come Monday, after everybody got back to work and over their Monday-blues, there was a friendly reply in my mailbox, together with another download link. Hit the button - bingo! Stephanie marched onto my harddisk. In the end, she was pleased with the friendly environment on my harddisk, and I was pleased by the good service of DAZ. Thanks a lot.

Now, that was one hell of a good idea! Something I was looking for all along, since all the clothes seem to be for the watermelon-size breasted ladies. I tried to do adjustments on the clothes via magnets, but that didn't work to my satisfaction (my patience to do these kind of things to the very end is extremly limited). Thanks for the gift and Merry Christmas. D.

Aha!!! Cleaning your server equipment for the Christmas holidays, right? Make sure you use the right stuff to clean your harddisks. I'd suggest "Comet" or "Mr. Clean" something similar mild. And to apply it, use #5-grade sandpaper. That won't be too rough on the disk-surface. Good luck - and thanks a lot for the good service of Renderosity over the last year. Merry Christmas to all of you from the team, and a happy new year. regards Detlef

never mind, Rob, helped me & others. And, BTW, a little rain onto the parade might not be a bad thing afterall - keeps things cool. D.

You're absolutely right, Rob, who wants disk-space eating dublicate mashes, if it's not necessary. I just thought, I had a solution, but have apparently been wrong. So my findings might have been coincidental. Damn, I thought, I soved some Poser secret on my own, and now you come and... well, c'est la vie. But thanks a lot anyway for the response. D.

Another way of fixing this is to make several copies of the Mike-geometrie file and number them. Then assign each Michael figure in your scene another geometrie file (by calling up the cr2's in the cr2-editor and changing the geometrie-file pointer to another copy of the geometrie-file). This worked for me for all DAZ and Poser4 figures, no more missing hips and the like.
Thread: Sar-Thuran in freestuff | Forum: Community Center
It is available for downloading and it is fancy free. I did it just this morning, no trouble whatsoever. In view of the web being a little international from time to time and also Renderosity claiming to be an international community, you may find sites in other languages than American English from time to time (maybe sad, but it happens, tsetsetse). Maybe you want to try working with a dictionary navigating the site in question...

The missing hip: From what I've found out, this always happens when you make an attempt to load more than one Dork-figure. Switching the GensHip on&off does not really do the trick, since, if you take a real close look, the hip area is not precisely in place afterwards. The cure that I found (following an advice from this site way back when): If you want more than one Dork in your scene at a time, make copies of the P4NudeMan obj-file and name them (check for correct file-name) blP4NudeMan1.obj, ...2.obj, etc, as many as you need and place tham in your geometry folder. Then modfy the cr2's of the Dork-figures, which you would like to use (in a text editor or wiyh cr2editor) and let them each point to a different obj-file (or different copies of the same one, so to speak). Now, when you load your figures into your scene, all hips should be there.

I've just received his CD last week, and I tell you: This is something else!!! Particularly when you consider that the poses come for less than a penny each... Anyways, I'm glad that I shelled out the dosh

There is a nice little program that might help you at least somewhat. It's called "cr2-Edit" (or something like that). It doesn't quite do exactly what you want, but it allows you to open a cr2-file and easily find the 2 lines, where the reference to the obj-file is made. That works a lot faster than messing about with the cr2 in a text editor. I've tried to find it for you in the freestuff utilities section, but didn't see it. Maybe somebody else knows where to find it.

I'll be there - mentally - so, no need to send directions. Like Schlabber said, a bit far from here (Belgium that is), but I'd like to participate (mentally) and have a beer on you (my birthday present). Hope, you'll enjoy it.

This is just to let people know that Steve Cooper's advice to check for old *.arp-files did the trick; thanks a lot, Steve. I found them, deleted them and now I'm a happy poser again, on the W2k OS, which otherwise doesn't give me any problems with Poser.

really? - Now that's funny, you are the first one I've heard saying it. I have tried hard, but never figured out how that software really works, even after going through the book. It was always doing funny things and never what I wanted it to do, so I consequently got annoyed and trashed it (not very patient me, you know, things better work right away or I blow a fuse). Now I wonder, whether I should give it another go, but then again, it might not do my keyboard any good, let alone my mouse... Are there any tricks to civilise that software and make it listen to its master(<- hehehe) that I'm not aware of? D.
