The hare and fox are part of the morph set called Cat-o-9Lives from Capsces' site. There are 34 morphs for the Poser cat that can change it into multiple types of cats, foxes, a hare, and a raccoon.Capsces also has a cool cobra morph for the old Poser snake.
The Indian headset used to be available at 3D Commune, but I don't think it's there anymore.
The female fairy figures (Spooky et al) appear to be early morph/figure sets from Thorne's fairy site, but I don't believe they are available any longer. The figures there were only offered for a limited time as I recall.

Thread: OT -- recent well-hyped CG movies not living up to box office expectations...... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No amount of CGI can make up for crappy storytelling. The problem with CGI movies is not the CGI, but with the relaince upon special efects to hold the films together. Beowulf, like 300 before it, was a boring film. Even watching it in 3D, I started to get sleepy. People aren't going to line up to watch video games on the big screen. At least Beowulf didn't carry the deplorable political message of 300.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy was very successful, in part because the books had a widespread fan base, but also because Peter Jackson knows how to tell a story visually and not make his films about the special effects. There are many films, in fact, in which the CGI is not noticeable--films you might not expect used CGI, but were digitially enhance in terms of color, or where backgrounds, etc. were dropped in instead of the filmmakers' relying on matte paintings.
The fact is, however, that the imagination and creativity of the art directors has exceeded that of the stories that are told. How many times can we watch scenes of endless murder without actual content? Because Hollywood films are a business and are designed to make a profit, not to be genuinely interesting or original.

If you would like everyday poses, try using a BVH animation. If you go to http:www.mocapdata.com , for example, they have any number of everyday activities. The movements are motion captures and are very natural and human looking (which I can't say for some still poses). Just go to a frame with a pose you like and save the pose or just render it.Mike.

Actually, I take that back--looking at both Liz Hurley and Keira Knightley, London looks more like Keira Knightley...although when the figure came out, I don't recall having seen her in anything and Liz Hurley was more prominent.

Thread: Boredom | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually, since we're talking about boredom, what I find dull in the galleries is the fact that nearly every Poser image that appears is some form of portrait. Very few Poser artists take the time to create quality images that are more toward illustration, in which there is something actually going on, and there is attention to things like composition and dynamic lines that lead the eye. It appears that many are content to simply plop a Vicky on a background and render her. In the search for "realism" (which is misguided, IMHO, since art is about creativity and imagination), people seem to have forgotten that there are other subjects worthy of treatment other than pretty women. The same is true of the galleries at DAZ. I was looking at the featured images over the past few months, and while most of them showed technical skill in terms of lighting and approaching naturalism, almost none of them transcended the "pretty face" cliche.

Yes, the dress is not dynamic, but a conforming figure. In fact, from experience, I look for the words "dynamic clothing" before getting something because I know such clothing is useless to me. I recently got another outfit from RunDNA in which the morphs don't appear to work, but the item at least shows up in the window.
Oh, and I did try to reinstall it, but it didn't work.

But even a dynamic figure would show up in the window. It just wouldn't do anything. I guess that's what puzzles me.
And why would all of the other items have appeared normally in the first place and conformed perfectly well and then later not appear?

I contacted the merchant but haven't heard anything back from her yet.
I was going to ask for a refund, but the policy seems to be only that money will be refunded if there is a problem with the item itself. I know that I'm taking a gamble when I buy things not specified for P4--although nearly everything I've bought in the past has worked fine, including clothing and scenery. If I don't hear back from jasmina, I'll try again, then contact the marketplace reps.

Can someone please explain exactly what the D|S SDK actually is or does? The description on DAZ's site says absolutely nothing.

This was the first time I had ever seen a director actually mention the program by name.
