One other thing that I wish was added to CS2s arsenal is a Network render Engine like on Bryce, AE and a few other applications. I do keep almost all the PCs I have ever upgraded above PII 400 and use them just for rendering. (The electric CO. Loves me when I turn them all on) but it does cuts down on heavy effect animation when more then one computer is hacking away at an animation.

Oh yah! Im going to fill this page up! NOT! CS2 has made some great improvements but just a few things I would LOVE to see. 1. I would love to see more influence put on real world movement of objects. I cant do much with everything moving along one center point of an object. I would like to see two or more end point options for objects with lock points so that one will move with an object and the other is free or locked to another object with no movement. 2. Camera data seems to be the norm for export to other applications. I would love to save that information and import it in another animation from CS2 with out a target. 3. Save the lighting. 4. To this day I cant save animations with alpha channel that have any form of blur or light lens flare added. I know that a lot of over powering math but it would be nice. 5. I am not sure I should say this one here but what about DV formatting on an animation export? A few of us out here are pioneering its abilities and it defiantly has a future in animation. Direct DVD authoring with the software available today makes it easer for an animator to publish their work and distribute it.

Thread: Carrara - Modeling for Poser | Forum: Carrara
I have been using Carrara to export models for Poser 4 for some time now and I like the results. Poser 5 now has a new Render and Cloth Room that works wonders with Carrara exported models. Exported textures also work with a few adjustments in the render room.

On the center top right corner of the window that shows you the face map (center image that has "Texture Preview" above it. You will see two icons that look like folders above it. (One on the top left and one on the top right side) Click on the top right folder. Then change the name and save it where ever you want. I havent played with spawn Morphs yet but with the trouble I have been having I have also save them as a .pz3 and compressed Pzz file to make sure. Hope this helps

I run it on a dual processor system under XP and it has froze and forced a few Ctrl-Alt-Del-End Tasks after going in and out of the face and hair editor to many times. (Whats the best Image size to use from a digital camera?) It is also running way slower then normal. Render times are great with firefly and shadows active witch seem kind of odd but trying to move things around and making adjustments and scaling are very difficult. I cant say that I have had this much trouble with Pro Pak.

hi PTNAA I have done a few animations with this type of effect. One easy way that I have found to do this is to use the shockwave emitter and set the maximum particle setting to 100000 your choice of speed. In the emitter properties window set you render size to .02 and turn off casts shadows. Add about 3% blur to the emitter. Test the color of the particles agents your ground cover color. You can play with the color and transparencies in the texture room. Set the object color for the emitter on the HLS color wheel with the H:0 L:19 S:0, Highlight set to 76%, Shin 3% reflect 14% and trans 82% If you have larger rocks close to the landing you can use the shake behavior in the modifiers pull down to make them move around. The last thing I add is the fog effect. Change it to a cylinder then tone it down to where you can barely see it and place it at the center of the emitter. Make sure to turn off casts shadows if you put the fog effect inside the particle emitter. I sometimes place two levels of fog one above the other with different colors. Time them to lead the particle emitter just ahead of the shockwave. I hope this helps you out with your animation. Message me anytime if you need help with this setup. glought
