Thread: The libraries slow down Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Schlabber - I can beleive that your Poser is slowed down by the number of poses you produced !!! I have been to your site and seen them all. Thanks very much guy, I really appreciate all them poses you gave to the rest of us.
Thread: DAZ's Texture Map Copyright Laws | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There's a woman down my street who is definitely infringing Daz's copyright - she is the spitting image of Victoria, she even has a broken fingernail ! Wait a minute though - she is older than Daz or Zygote ! Perhaps she could say that her copyright is being infringed. I don't think she's into 3d though so she is probably unaware of any transgressions. But be aware Daz -- If you ever come up with a fat, bald middle aged male model with a broken tooth, then I'm gonna have to sue. I've got that copyright !

The stuffit expander is a great free utility it even handles RAR files, though I didn't see them mentioned in the list of supported files. It also has a nice drag and drop function. Well worth the download. Thanks Alladin Systems !!
Thread: another bug | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
bloody hell ! that's one serious bug - all your error messages come up in French. Seriously though Poser has no more bugs than any other program and you should just learn to get around them.

Thread: Poser memory problem !! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This out of memory message is often caused by Poser not finding a texture file where it expected to or finding a jpg instead of a bmp or bum. The answer to this is to put them in the right place or convert them to the correct file type then try reloading the character. Sometimes (I have found this with pz3 files) they work fine the first time you load them up but when you go back and try to open them again they give the out of memory message. In this instance go into the geometries folder and delete the rsr and let Poser build another one. Hope this is of some help.
Thread: You've probably never heard of me but I make creatures..... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Teyon, probably never heard of you ? Yeah right you kick arse rhino modeller you ! Provided you don't want to exchange your poser models for bits of peoples anatomy you are going to sell bucket loads of models and I wish you every success. May I also take this opportunity to thank you for all the tutorials you've done for Rhino.

Thread: Britney Spears in Freestuff | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I know people in this forum don't like GetRight but this is one case where you need it ! I had problems with one of Quagnons earlier freestuff offerings, thanks by the way Quagnon I really like your models. What I did was right click the link and click properties to get the website address then after going to the site I used GetRight to download the file. The server keeps dropping the download but GetRight allows you to continue. Please note that I did not strip any sites and at approx 1 hour to download 1MB GetRight wasn't exactly acting as a download accelerator ! Programs like this do occasionally have their uses and on my computer GetRight does not run on startup I only invoke it when I need it, say after 3 or 4 failed attempts at downloading a file. Hope this helps some of you. The Britney texture looks very good but I don't have Vicky.

This is really good !!! How did you make it, I've tried to make armour in Rhino but I have come nowhere near this quality. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thread: Bye for now | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's sad to see anyone leave over criticism. I have no problem with people selling their stuff via this forum, in fact I think that this place has an excellent mix of ideas and help. I visit most days, don't post very often but "if ya got nothing sensible to say then shut up" is my motto. Perhaps, if the post relates to items for sale, a mention should be made in the subject heading - then people who don't want to look at what they can't afford (or won't pay)need never look at the post. I seem to remember there was a Dragon for sale somewhere but you could download it for free as a static prop so you could still use it but not pose it. Perhaps some of the vendors would consider this option - if you want to pose it you buy it, if you don't want to buy it then you make your scene around the static prop. Just an idea but it might help some of the less well off amongst the community whilst not detracting from sales to any great degree. Just my two pence worth (British) Graham
