Atelier: I have't had much experence with grouping particular items before pulling with magnets. It just hasn't come up much in my work. Although the the technique is valid. You are doing something wrong with the grouping. I never do grouping with poser at all, because I thinks its cumbersome, regrouping my fashon would require uvmapper and then working with only the .obj imported. I will get to that later.

Why is this so great? I mean, yeah there are other tools for making deformations to your clothing that you can purchase, but poser magnets are still the only deformers that can be saved and used over and over again to automate your needs. For instance, if you make a set of magents that reshapes a breast and save each one and put them away safe. Later you may want to fit clothing to her, well all you have to do is apply your magents to the clothing and the changes will be made so the clothing fits her.

oh, dear, you must learn magnets for ultimate contol over your geometry - I think people are afraid of them, because they aways go a harder route when mags are really so easy. Yeah, you could go out and find some morphs to download that may come close to what you want, or you can learn to use magnets and get exactly the shape you want in a few minutes. I think I will begin writing my tutorials as a public service. marty

You can make your own deformations very easly with a little skill with magnets. You can convert mags to morphs very easily. I am sure you can find many tutorials on the subject - I need to write some. It would involve making a very small zone around the teeth that you plan to extent and points to, then pulling the magnet to stretch that particular tooth a little. The smaller you make the zone the pointier the tooth will get. The pointyness can also be controlled the spherical falloff zones. marty

I would recomend applying a figure such a as catsuit and applying the glossy clear texture to that then. You didn't say what figure you are working with.

This is easly done with poser magnets. You can find plenty of tutorials on the magnets I am sure....I wish I had time to write some. You can do just about anything with magnets once you get good at them :)
Set your magnets up for multiple groups and clothing groups also if you like to make clothing mimic the body shape. I have Conversion Kits in the Market Place that use magnets to deform clothing geometries. Those who buy this package could load my magnets individually and see how they work - I am not hiding anything.

Thread: Help! I have a conforming problem... | Forum: Poser Technical
I am very familiar with this problem, I have done two years research on it, lol. I have a cure for this problem once and for all. Read my instructions for V3-what ever conversion kits. I couldn't have made the promises of a near perfect fit until I overcame this problem. You can find these in the Market Place. The instructions and tutorial, although involve magnets, explains a method of getting around this problem with daz.cr2s. Many of daz .cr2s will skew the position of a .obj in a way that it will shift out of position right after conforming. Those who insist on doing it the old fashoned way will always getting noticable skewing in the fit in the feet and forearms and hands.
Thread: HELP! Need PZ2 help...will give product! | Forum: Poser Technical
Hi susan,
Here is what I do with PZ2 files. I get things set up like I want them in poser like your eye scales and such, then save the pose file.
Its just a matter of opening up the pose file with word pad and removing all the stuff you don't want in it. This takes a little study of the code, but its really a simple code and you can quickly learn how to read thru the information and know what parts you want, and what parts you don't want.
For instance, you are only interested in making a PZ2 that only effects the eyes,.....isolate the eye code and remove all other code. You can work thru trial and error until you get it right.
As for your Bend off.,,,,that can be done with loading the character.cr2 via a special readScript that inserts new code turning the Bend off.
I hope this is some help. I don't have time to help you to much this afernoon, but I can give you more information later
