Thanks for responding. I have 'centre vue objects when loading' selected, but as far as I am aware nothing has changed and this never used to happen. It only happens with some objects. For instance. I had a figure with a tray of glasses in one scene. Then, in the next scene one of the glasses was on a table, only when I loaded it into Vue it was back on the tray. :s

I received a response very quickly from Jacob Heller at ShareCG. I am most impressed.
"Thanks--we removed this from the site due to your warning."

Thread: Vista 64bit | Forum: Vue
I have been using Vista Ultimate 64 since it came out along with Vue 6 Infinite 64 and it works like a dream. So much so I have 3 of my computers running on it now. However, I can't speak for games and things like that as I only use them for rendering, the occasional letter and a bit of post-working in photoshop.

Thread: OT--Would this computer work for Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have basically the same set up (except 8 gb ram and only one 8800 gtx video card) and it works fabulously with rendering (in Vue 6 Inf 64 bit) being about 800% faster rendering than my elderly 4800+ and dual opteron 246. I guess to really see the value in Poser we will have to wait for the 64 bit version.
The biggest change though was getting a 30" dell monitor, I really cannot recommend this enough, it makes such a mammoth difference to making the images (especially once your eyesight starts to play up as you leave your thirties :) )
I know what you mean about storage space. I keep all my .pzz's and .Vue files and I have in total about 8.2 tb of storage over all my computers and including a couple of NAS drives and I am running short already.

Thread: Locking on object delete | Forum: Poser Technical
Thanks Phil. I put it down to 5 but sadly it is still the same :( I have 4 gb ram. The weird thing is it works fine on another identical set up!
Oh and another thing... When you delete and it locks, the hard drive working light flickers as if something is happening, but I left it for 2 hours earlier and it never actually unlocks.

Oh they are wonderful! George, Elvis, Clooney, Zeta-Jone and Betty Davis... :)
I am a HUGE Fygomatic fan, his Jessica Alba, Sophia and Salma are just gorgeous! I wish I could persuade him to do a Jude Law, Johnny Depp and a Deborah Harry :D

Thread: Poser 7 so slow in Vista it is no longer fun . . . . | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay edit 10 minutes later :)
Okay you can get around this by installing poser 7 and then go to the Poser icon and right click. Select the compatability tab and put a tick in the box of 'run as administrator'. I expect everyone except me knew this anyway!

I installed Vista Ultimate 64 and I just can't get Poser working reliably on it.
Once you get it running it seems to work well, but I restart my computer and it immediately says ***'This application has failed to start because FreeImage_Win32Release.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.'
If I just copy the file over it stays the same however I re-install and it works fine. Turn the computer off and the same message appears :(
I know it is something to do with administrative privs but I 'run the program as an administrator' each time
Oh and it wouldn't even install Vista with my dual nVidia 7800 gtx cards in. As soon as I removed (well, not actually me, but I saw to it that it was removed ;) ) one card it was okay. Now with everything installed and latest drivers from nvidia if the card is put back in the computer (4800+ with 4 gb ram and 4 x 300 gb hd's) it won't start again. Even my two WD My Book Platinum II 1 terabyte external drives won't work with it. So on the whole I haven't had a great experience with it.
Oh... I did get Vue 6 Infinite 64 bit working and it runs very fast, so I am sure eventually it will all be okay.
I have another copy of vista ultimate 64 for my dual opteron workstation but I think I will hold off for the time being ;)
