Your second question
You should be able to import a PZ2 file into DAZ then save it as a scene. I have tried it with a PZ3 file and DAZ4 Pro and it works, although the imported V3 figure was about 20% larger than the Genesis figure. It will be important to have the paths to the Poser directories set up correctly in DAZ. If not, you may have to locate meshes and textures manually, which will be a bit tedious.
Hope this helps

These links may help. The first is to a series of video tutorials, the other to a draft manual for DS4 which is far from complete.

I have added .exe to the file and have got it installed. Many thanks.
I encountered a couple of small problems during installation, described below, in case anybody else encounters the same.

I've downloaded the DAZ 4 Pro files , but , and it could be me being very stupid, I cannot see how to install them. The only executable files appear to be the addons and in Windows XP right clicking on the DAZ Studio 4 file doesn't give the option to expand the file.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for the pointer to the script.
Bejaymac, Your right in that, had I thought it through, I should have expected the problem but in the past I've only worked with Poser 5 human figures, M4 and V4, and have not encountered this trouble; lucky I guess.

Thanks for the replies.
I appreciate it is not a serious problem, but I posted the question in case there was something obvious I had missed. It's odd that Scott's program defaults to "New" and mine doesn't.
I use the pen tool because;
it provides a easy combination of fixed points and Bezier points which makes it easier to fit selections with a mixture of smooth curves and sharp angles;
the points can be adjusted which again helps to get accurate selections.

Many thanks.
Mine only defaults to "new" when there is no other selection present as, obviously, this is the only valid option.

Yes it does , providing the selected directory is higher than the camera drive. In my case that means " My Computer"
many thanks
