Anthony, try running notpad.exe as administrator and making the changes doing that. The AppData folder does include some MS Security. Other than that you may wish to search the registry for a reference to "LIBRARY_IS_AIR" to see if something is changing it there. I would also search your C: volume for any other copies of Poser.ini which could be giving you issues. I hope some of this may help.

Anthony your location to the Poser.ini file is correct, sorry. The line LIBRARY_IS_AIR 1 must be set to 1 which tells it to use the internal libraries.

You will need to download the current version of Adobe Air in order for it to work correctly.
Also the INI file should be in C:Users/AppData/Roaming/Poser Pro/10/poser.ini
For some reason Rendo removed all of the lashes. BTW if you have an older version of Adobe Air it should be uninstalled first. This basicly changes Poser to use the internal libraries for flash. This was what caused Poser to crash on startup.

This came from Smith Micro. I have done the following and Poser now works fine.
KB3132372 which impacts Flash Management on Windows 10. Our Engineers are working to identify the root cause. Microsoft has acknowledged a known issues in this security update and they are aware of limited application crashes that occur after this security update is installed on Windows 10. Microsoft is researching this problem with Adobe and will post more information when the information becomes available. A work around is to uninstall the above update using Add and Remove Programs (Updates) The other option is to switch to the External Library that uses AIR if you do not wish to remove the problematic Update released by Microsoft earlier this week. To change to the External Library, go to C:UsersAppDataRoamingPoser Pro10 AppData may be hidden. Go your Control Panel, (Change from Categories to an Icon view on the right) select Folder Options and under the View Tab, select Show Hidden Files and Folders to allow you to view the AppData folder. Open the Poser.ini file using Notepad Locate the line LIBRARY_IS_AIR and change the 0 to a 1 Save and close. You can now launch and use Poser Pro with the External AIR Library. (NOTE: If you do not have AIR installed on your system, you will want to go to the Adobe Site and obtain the Latest AIR application from Adobe.)

Thread: Considering switching to Mac -- how's Poser work? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nothing like paying twice as much and getting half the machine. Been using a home built PC Win machine for poser for over 8 years with no problems.

With all of the needed work you have discussed, wouldn't it just be better to create a new dog character. I believe that the current MillDog is well past it's prime and is extremely dated, I have tried to use the dogs in renders, however they always look rather fake. I feel that spending the time fixing something that is at it's core is broken is wasted time. Just my thoughts. I would really like to see a new dog with expanded features and make use of a real bone structure.
