Thread: Use of html tags in threads...Please Read | Forum: Photography
I've just looked at the tower! Incredible! A pity you can't go there, Zack! ------------------------------ About the topic of this thread...: I understand your fear, Doug. This is true that we are playing with extremely interesting stuff but also dangerous! I'm totally with you, we have to warn everybody and if I can help you in any way, please tell me what to do... I tried to find what is still wrong in my thread, made a local copy of the html document and tried it. The problem disappear when you suppress Andrea's blue section (Sorry boy!). I've looked at Andrea's code and the reason why the document is corrupted is obvious: The main table is closed just after the end of Andrea's cell! His cell (each cell contains an inner table) is finished by a double closure of all the tags (TD, TR, TBODY, TABLE). The effect of that code is to close the outer table, as we can see on the screen. What the heck did he do to get that result??? I really don't know... Will it solve the problem if he just delete his faulty cell, only a RR programmer could tell this... If you read this, Zack, please, try to delete your blue stuff! We will know if we can easily repair a document that way! Thanks...

Hmmm, yes that can explain your madness... What I forget to say is that opening "some" tags (especially the "input" ones necessary in a "form") before "some" previous ones are closed can have very hazardous, erratic and unpredictable effects... like the one you describe here!

I agree with Doug... As I also frequently use HTML in my notes, except for the very repetitive things, I always try it before! I've just arrived in front of my screen and haven't seen anything about the "chaos" but I can imagine that our "dear sweetie sweedish boy" just forgot to close one of his "tags"... It's not so hard to explain, Doug, in HTML a tag is active as long as it's not closed, untill the end of the document... This is half true because HTML has been designed (partly) for people with just basic IT languages knowledge. This is not true for a
tag, for example. HTML decoders, normally, assume that if a new occurrence of a tag arrives, the previous one MUST be closed so navigators close it themselves! But they cannot do that for other kind of tags like tags, for example, because you can always create inner fonts inside an outer font, etc... The best behaviour is to ALWAYS close your tags when you don't need them any more. If you refer to Oscar's "little help", in any example he gives, the tags are always closed, even if they don't have to! Have all a good day! ppThread: Help me to choose... Hehe, I like the icons you're playing with but it seems that they have been designed to be used on a black background!!!

Definitely the sepia (right one) for me... Cause the way she's dressed seems a little bit from an ancient time... So it goes with sepia...

@Cyn: it seems that this "Notify" checkbox has no effect! I still get notifications... Do you know something about that?
Thread: Verticality and perspective | Forum: Photography
??? I don't get what you say... As far as I know, there isn't any acknowledge mechanism which informs RR ebots system that I read their message... Is it?? Anyway, I've just noticed the "Notify" checkbox, 6cm (2inches, gringos!!) below what I'm writing, right now... I gonna use it... Thanks, again, to all of you! Cheers!!...

The final version of this picture (with a huuuge postwork done on it) is now ready for uploading. So, it may be time to close that discussion! Can you tell me how to disable this thread, Doug, Cyn? Is that possible?

@hotracer2: sorry, I installed photFiltre in the froggies' language but here are the 5 steps of what I did:
-first, add an empty area on the side of the picture where you have to drag...
-Select the entire picture
-Click on the contextual menu (right click) on "transformation-->distorsion"
-Drag the upper left corner
-Clik on "valid"
And that's it!
@Nilla: you can find that stuff at photoFiltre.com.
Thanks a lot to all of you!
