I have both his plugins for Cinema - cr2loader and the morph tag loader. In Cinema, a dialogue comes up when you open the cr2 or pz3 and you have the option of what you want to load - you can choose to skip bones, skip morphs, props, materials, etc. No knowing if it's the same in Lightwave, the only thing I can think of is you might accidently have "skip bones" checked and saved as your preference.

Thanks for that kuroyume! As I said, I hadn't tried any of the millenium figures that required two maps, but now I'll know how. redon
Thread: Poser and Maxon's Bodypaint | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I happen to be working in BodyPaint v2 today for the first time, and I can tell you that the workflow is much more streamlined than it was in V1 (if you have the money to upgrade). I have made skin textures in v1 for the Maya Doll, but not the DAZ figures. I haven't done any skin textures in v2 yet. I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes. The UV mapping would stay the same, it's getting everything you need on the right texture map. I'm guessing this shouldn't be a problem because in version 2 you're given the option of which parts you want to work on at the same time and whether or not you want to keep them on one map, so you should be able to group the body parts as needed on the same map. I don't think you could do this in v1, but I really didn't work with it much, so I may well be wrong.

Ah - the quirky Poser 5 interface! All sorts of strange things seem to happen to it. Try fixing your problem by going to Edit>General Preferences. Then set it to factory state on both available choices and apply preferred state. Then close Poser and reopen it. One person suggested in a previous thread that going into the default pz3 and setting it to "Read Only" can stop some of these problems, but this hasn't worked perfectly for me.
Thread: No speculation about the new bonus figure with M3 from DAZ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I got the email and it's supposed to be a new figure created from the "unimesh", so it's likely to be humanoid anyway. A new Stephanie would be nice.

The moderators are getting me trained, though. I knew when the thread disappeared where to go to find it. Anyway, I think M3 looks great in this post and in the others I've seen. I also appreciate all the posts that were initially in the Poser forum - I would never have looked here otherwise.

I did this the first time, too. You have to go into the props library and load the magnets first. Then apply the mors
Thread: New Critic in Town | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have to jump in here and say that most people you will be trying to sell your art to are not likely to be artists themselves - they may have an educational background in art. However, they're the people who have to want to buy your work. However, Tigershark, here you probably should wait to be contacted by people who want your critiques - many people who post here aren't even interested in being professionals and therefore probably also aren't interested in a serious critique, may even find it offensive. There's a few forums over at cgtalk.com that are set up specifically for people interested in having professional critiques of their work. There's nothing like that here, although it might be a good idea.

I put some up in the freestuff section at PoserPros last fall - it might take a little while to find them since it was so long ago - but you can try over there.
Thread: Other 3d render engines... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As many have said, Vue will be the easiest to use, and it's renderer is very fast. If you are interested in modeling, and have a little more money, the base version of Cinema 4d might be the way to go. Neither of these programs support Poser 5 dynamic cloth or hair yet, though. Vue will directly import pz3's from Poser 4 or ProPack, and support for Poser 5 pz3s is supposed to be coming any day now in an update (still no hair or cloth, though).
Thread: Poser and the big boys! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ah - I'm always forgetting that ProPack comes with it's own plugins! Also - toashzadel - I haven't heard of anyone with a plugin yet for exporting Poser 5 hair and cloth.
