Thanks for your comments. I made some changes and uploaded a new version to my gallery. :)Thread: Traditional media - what do you do that's not 3D? | Forum: Bryce
What a talented group! I can't draw or paint to save my life. I do play the piano though ;)

Thanks! There's a tutorial for terrain trees on Jonathan Allen's site. The link's above.Thread: WIP2: Springy Day | Forum: Bryce
The leaves look much better :) I like the ripples too. I don't think there's a science to placing the ripplies...just where you think a fish might have jumped.

Great image! The composition is excellent. Their poses are very well done too. The mother's face looks a bit odd, though. It looks like it's untextured... (kind of mask-like)

I really like this image! You've done a great job with the flowers and trees. The waterfall is really nice too. The leaves on the closest trees seem a little flat. I wonder if a different texture might give them a little more dimension. Also, I wonder what a slight pinkish hue might do for the atmosphere?

The very same thing happened to me the other day. If I remember correctly, I did what DoubleCrash suggested and it fixed the problem. Another thing to try is to save the image, close it and reopen it...kind of like giving a machine a good swift kick grins

The expression may not be quite right as the others have mentioned, but may I say those textures on the space surrounding his face are awesome? What a terrific start :)

Ooh, I have lots of ideas for this one...not sure how "do-able" they are, but it will be fun to try :)

This is a great start! I agree about changing the camera angle. I think if it's pulled into the scene a little more, it will make the viewer feel as if he's actually in the room. I tried making curtains using the terrain editor once. They didn't turn out as nicely as the example shown above, but if I can do it, anyone can ;) How about a potted plant? A comfy chair and some throw pillows? When can I move in? heh heh

Thanks for all your help. I'm in the process of rendering a new version and I'm really pleased with it. I'm sure it wouldn't have come along this well without all your input!
