Quote - So how does DAZ Deal with genitalia & morphs ?
The genitals for Genesis, G2F and G2M are geografts. That means the models replace part of the hip polygons when loaded. Otherwise the model will behave like any conforming figure and follow the morphs dialed on the Genesis(2) figure as fas as possible. For extreme morphs it is best to add shape specfic morphs to the genital figure to optimize them for the shape. Just like some clothes have specific genesis morphs built-in to optimize fit for some shapes.
So essentially the genital figurtes act like conforming figures, but replace part of the figure mesh (they can even have their own rigging).

If you buy V6 $125.00 Pro Pack but only get Olympai $40.00 morph.
will the morph work at all ?
The Olympia morph will work with just the free G2F figure. You do not need V6 at all unless you like the shape or the other stuff in the pack.

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity
This works but is certainly pricey right now. Theprogram is not on sale (hasn't been in some time as far as I know) and you also need the V4 and the M4 plugins. That makes it over $40. It is a nice little tool though. Somewhat slow because it does not use multiple threads.
Hope this helps

I have that one. If you have the correct plugin you can convert between any of the suported figures. For example M4 to V4 or V4 to Young teen (Laura).

So it is possible that this solves my problem?
Because if so, I'll return a texture that I bought today in the morning daz store: "Victoria 4 Male GW4 Texture", and invest the cancelation of the purchase that convert
It has been a while since I used it, but I do have the needed plugins. Let me give it try tonight when I get home and I can tell you for sure if it works or not.

here it is:
Alright. The subd cage is not exported. This means it is indeed a messed up UV. Vue doesn't recognize the fact that the UV is changed because that is handled via the DSON plugin. No easy work around short of converting the texture as Male3_M3Dia mentioned.
I usually export all figures from DAZ Studio as .obj. That works without a problem for me.

Darn. It's welded... This was imported from a saved .pz3 out of Poser, right? Select the "body" in the browser and click "Edit Object" (either from the buttons at the top or from the right click menu). In that window you should have the option to select "split". It is under Mesh information "Number of materials". Click the split button. Now you can expand all parts in the scene browser and post another shot. Then we should beable to tell what has been exported.

Ok,
Here genesis with UV_set M4 and M4 texture Yago.
the texture of the mouth also descends to near the chin
The scene browser is on the bottom right. Expand the "Untitled" object by clicking on the plus sign. That way we can see what parts are contained in the model.
This image definitely indicates a UV problem, but if the subd cage is still there, that might be what you see.

Thread: Missing items when rendering larger sizes | Forum: Vue
Quote - I've finished my latest image, see link. Rendered it at 1280x600 for the gallery, no problem, came out wonderful. Now I'm ready to render for print and set the size at triple, 3840x1800. Half way through the rendering I'm noticing that items are missing, my terrain is gone. All the trees, rocks, plants and water are there, but the terrain isn't. Set the size to double, 2560x1200 and the terrain is back. Set it at 2.5 times the size, 3200x1500 and the terrain is gone. The terrain has terrainscape material, with displacement.
Anyone know what causes this? Too little memory for rendering?
My guess would be that the displacement is the culprit. Try to uncheck tyhe displacement and see if the terrain reappears. You could also try to bake the displacement. If the terrain is procedural, convert it to standard and then try with and without disp.

Thread: Wet rocks? | Forum: Vue
Quote - How would I go about creating rocks with a wet look? I've been trying, but failed so far. Even some of the material I've got in my library that are supposed to give me a wet rock look, don't look wet at all? Any help would be great!
I usually do this in one of two ways:
Simply increasing highlights to your taste (100/75 is a good start)
add a material layer of varnish (in "Material Layers") to the rock material. Set "add to underlaying layer bump" to 60% or so. Set refractive index to 1.33, transparency to ~95% and tweak from there.

ello, I don't think I've ever posted anything before. I appreciate all the help thus far.
I'm using vue10 xtreme, mostly for mattes. Now trying to animate the camera and can't get an image sequence to render. After scrounging this forum I can get batch render to work, but only one frame renders and it stops (reads 'finished' in the job que').
How do I set it to render the entire animation? I see no way to advance frames. Is there another method to render an image sequence?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
The "Render Animation" button is next to the time line on the right (use "show time line" if it is not already on screen). Click that and you can set the animation render options as well as the desired frames and output format. For an image series simply pick an image format rather than a movie format. Batch render and the normal render button at the top are for still images.
