Carodan, your work is nothing short of incredible!
Not only your morphs, but the renders themselves have a clarity that is exceptionally rare for Poser. How-do-you-do-it?!
If it weren't for your images there wouldn't be nearly as much excitment about this figure, which in a way is a shame.
Do you make your morphed characters available to others? I ask because your Dobby is perfect!
Keep raising the bar...and making the rest of us look like hacks! :)

Thread: Expensive Advice | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow!
I thoroughly appreciate the feedback, and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of responses.
Of course modelling your own figures and props would take an age, but it’s the technical, Poser specific knowledge that I find isn’t being shared, but rather ‘sold’.
How do I make this surface reflective?
How do I imitate fur/fuzz?
How do I use Sub Surface Scattering and Ambient Occlusion effectively?
…etc
These and many more aren’t questions I have asked, but have seen asked by others. Quite often, rather than explaining Nodes and their uses, one will be pointed towards a purchasable texture pack, or Python Script.
I think it’s important to understand the fundamentals behind the tools you are using. I fear that many new Poser users will never truly grasp what it is ‘happening’ when they double-click their newly purchased gizmo.

Thread: Apollo Maximus 2007 is coming, and he's going to be FREE!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is incredible news and can only be good for the Poser scene.
Hopefully it will lead to improvements in commercial figures, to justify their price. If not, perhaps the prices will need to be reduced.
I can't wait to get hold of this!

Thread: Looking for Bluetooth type prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think perhaps he's referring to a Bluetooth headset (?).
Asking for a Bluetooth prop is like asking for a radio-wave prop. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Regardless, I haven't seen one on my travels. Sorry :).

Thread: JessiG2 is here | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've finally gotten Jessi G2.
While she's a definite improvement over the original Jessi, I don't believe she's as complete and flexible a figure as V4.
Still, the more figures I have in my library, the better.

Thread: Underused Poser figure #4 - Jessi | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Some say lazy, others say convenient.
I for one am pleased Jessi G2 follows the established format of the G2 males (idential bodies). This will allow for clothing etc to be used across more than one.
Ideally though there would just be one male and one female, each with extremely flexible morphing capabilities. The need then for additional, race specific figures is negated.

Never mind.
I got this to work first try!
Thank you to everyone that shared this information, and made it so idiot (me) proof.

Thread: TOS WORK AROUND? VIEW PRIVATE GALLERY | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Life would certainly be strange if your artistic expression relied in any way shape or form on how you cropped your thumbnails :).
Some of my images are artistic nudes, and I have no problem with the policy. In fact, I had already taken it upon myself to creatively crop the thumbnails of my nude images, prior to the policy being enforced.
I sound like a completely brown-nose :) but this is just the way I do things. Guess I’m old fashioned.

Am I the only person who's happy with R'osity the way it is?

Thread: Enough is enough | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I donated my two cents to this topic, and bowed out gracefully some two pages and countless posts earlier.
PerfectN posted an image that didn’t conform to R’osity policy. He was informed of this by jumpstartme2 (a moderator), and thus chose to vent his frustration in this forum. A simpler, more human motivation one could not ask for. Granted, some of his methods have been...questionable ;).
I propose to you all, perhaps it’s time to let this thread die as dignified a death as it can at this point.
I suppose that brings me up to four cents now?

Regardless of opposing viewpoints on gallery policy, I think we can all agree that the image in question is absolutley fantastic (as is the rest of PerfectN's gallery).

It'd be great if someone could make put this wonderful work into practice and upload the resulting material to the freebies section.
I'm going to have a swing at this myself on the weekend. If I manage to crack this nut I'll be happy to save and share the resulting material. If not, I'll be back and begging for help!

This discussion has been played out a thousand times over.
If you’re looking for justification for the new thumbnail policy, there’s plenty of material to peruse in other threads.
Regardless of if you agree with their reasoning, by choosing to post your images here, you are obligated to uphold their established conventions.

Thread: How the "face room" should have worked | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Good call Bomac.
I've been using FaceGen on and off for quite a while.
It's unfortunate that the resulting meshes are low-poly and the textures low-res. Still, it's a great place to start.
I've just started dropping FaceGen meshes into ZBrush for upscaling and detailing, which could lead to some pretty decent models in a short amount of time.

I’m consistently amazed at how incredibly defensive ‘artists’ can be, especially here at R’osity.
Sorry PerfectN, you failed to oblige to a very simple and explicitly detailed rule (your Mermaid's nipple is clearly visible) and you were informed of this failure. Your image wasn’t removed, nor were you banned from posting future images. What’s the issue?
Bear in mind, I am a fan of your work, but this innocent incident (that’s hard to say!) is hardly worth YOU getting into a head-spin.
I suppose one good thing has come from this. You’ve no doubt directed some traffic to the image in question, and subsequently your gallery on a whole. :)
