Thread: Beast | Forum: Photography
Such compsite work is nothing I can do for the time being [and, I'm not sure for the future either... :)]. Because of that, I'm generally a little bit reluctant to criticise such work. Still, may I present two humble opinions..? 1- The front 1/3 of the lower jaw is quite dark, and thus merges to the dark hills at the far, and they seem to be in the same focal plane. Would it be better to lighten that part of the jaw that it is seperated from the background..? 2- The thick and orange band extending from the nose of the beast to the right border... Is it really needed (at least that harsh) to keep the info of a settin (or rising..?) sun alive, or is it a little bit contradicting with the overall and very fine pastel color spectrum of this superb image..? Anyway...the concept...and the realisation... I'm just watching...

Breathtaking, heartstopping..! I'm in benign but strong envy for seeing such a successful composite work...

So, it's obvious that you know "Live Bursting Out" by heart..! What a matching frequency we got here now..! :) Regards...

A few more... Now, here the standing man is seen completely, and thus more dynamic, with brilliant green grass under his feet... Doesn't all this contribute somehow..? I do not think so...maybe just for themselves, and for that part of the image... Also, the river was not seen in the other image, and the lines of the bridge and the housing settlement had the opportunity of framing the other image at the lower border... Here, they're also lost unfortunatelly... But, what's all this fuss..?! Why am I so excited and criticise an image as such..?! Is it because that I love and adore fireworks, and, no matter what, these images seem to me to be very close to describe the reality..? Still, let me take a deep breath, behave myself......and sit back, relax ("and enjoy an evening with Jethro Tull...Jethro Tull..."; ever listened to 'Live Bursting Out' ?)... Well, c'ya... :)

Now for this one, I do not agree with you... The differences are subtle maybe, but this image is not successful as the other... I generally do not like to crop, but I think this image needs a rather serious cropping for visual balance from the right side towards the firework explosion... Also, the silhouette of the standing man merges into the dark blue sky at the left of the explosion, and here the man is lost, while he was a contributing dynamic element in the other pic... Well, a little bit excited, but these were my humble opinions... :)

Dear Antoonio, welcome back...and you've came back with very, very good..! I'm looking for minutes and minutes, and do not seem to be bored any time soon..! Those motion-blurred trees...the silhouettes of the people...the fireworks themselves...the evening sky...the housing settlement in the far...colors of them all...dynamic positioning of them all in the composition... ...Everything is so very fine and joyous to me..! Congratulations... :)

I was surfing through the archive of the Forum, and saw this work of yours. Sorry to miss this at the time you've post. Please accept my late congratulations for this image :). Though I do not find much time and chance for diving (and not licensed for SCUBA), I adore underwater, and underwater photography... This image is just so very beautiful...

Dear nplus, I'm thankful for your feedback. Actually, I do not prepare a spread, but just messing around to learn. If I learn and practice enough, I may prepare a spread, etc. someday... :) Keeping your advices in mind, I prepared and sent two other works to the gallery, but they are too hefty to post here, being over 200 MB. You may check them under the names of "Spider-in-a-jar, Episode X...", "X" being the episode number. There is 2 episodes for now, but three more to come. Again, as spreads, they are amateurish and very simple, and again, I'm contented with the images... :) Thanx...

So, this was a real hard slap on my face..! Firstly, I'm sorry for your having that particular problem. Then, I honestly admit that I did not have any kind of intention for kidding with a health problem... If I disturbed you by any means, please accept my apologies. I should leave trying to be jokeful using a language which is not native to me, and work instead...

:) Dear Marshmallowpie, I actually have gastritis... ...Then, do you have lactose intolerance in return..? (I hope not of course. Just seemed that everybody talks about his/her complaints indirectly. Hope the health rules for every single one of us... :))

Drink milk prior to sleep... ...Then, the calcium in the milk will stimulate the release of "gastrin", a gastric hormone ("gaster" is stomach in Latin or old Greek, can't remember which)... ...Then, this gastrin will stimulate the acid secretion of the stomach in return... ...No good for that sleeping one, if is a sufferer of gastritis or duodenal ulcer..! Still, milk is the one and only..! :)

Yes..! These images are exciting, very exciting...especially the first one..! Detail, composition, light, etc., etc....they are surely fine [I'm not underestimating these by any means... :)], but the primary excitement on my behalf comes from the fact that, during a summer holiday vacation years ago, when I was a teenager boy, I also came into close contact with one member of this species... My father and I were taking an early morning swim in the sea with swimmers' goggles on our eyes, and suddenly I faced a single jelly-fish of the same type here and was shocked to death..! Infact, I bumped into it, and my face immediately started to burn, and it lasted for nearly an hour or so, tapering slowly. Yet, after the first shock, we watched its movements in the sea for minutes, touched its dome that is slippery -probably covered with a film of mucus- and astonishingly hard...and all this was surely amazing..! The one we saw had a purplish-blue color, but its anatomical details were exactly the same as they are recorded here brilliantly by you... Thanx... :)
