Projection painting is definately the way to go. No need simplify the mats, as Projection painting can automatically paint across materials as long as all of them are selected.

yes, morphs do not contain mapping info, just the base mesh, Amacord's solution is probably the best if you wish to make your modification into the default mesh. one more step before exporting make sure that you have the figure in a completely zeroed pose on export. you can use the Joint editor to do this.

yes you can do whatever you want with the mesh for your own use, it is only redistribution that is not allowed. as far as increasing mesh density, while you can do that be aware that that will make all stock morphs unusable including facial morphs. Transfering UV mapping may not be possible due to the fact that you mirrored the toe group, that likely created a seam between toe and foot which would duplicate the points along that edge and the uv transfer file wouldnt know how to deal with those extra points.

If you actually mirrored the obj than that is the reason for the issue, becouse you have also changed the position and possibly the arangement of the UV map for that area. One thing you should know though is that the obj file cannot be distributed. you could convert it to a morph and distribute that but distributing the whole obj is a definate no no.

from the glimpses in your trailer it definately looks like a useful resource, good luck with it. :)
Thread: Any software to remove zero-value morphs from unimesh figures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Dial cleaner will hide empty morph channels but will not actually remove morphs that have been loaded and are unused. as far as the difference between IPB and injection magic, they are very similar programs and do almost the same thing but injection magic offers the ability to add blank injection channels to a figure. that is the main difference.

Injection pose builder over at DAZ will read all of the non zeroed morphs in a character and spit out a custom injection morph pose which will only load those morphs. the added bonus is that this injection morph pose is fully distributable. IPB is a seperate program so it will work with any version of poser.

you are all very welcome, I'm glad for the appreciation and hope you find many uses for this set :) mariner, in the end I ended up using the base texture for bump in those two materials, and simply forgot to delete the seperate bump nodes, sorry about that. but the bump is actually how I intended it there. as far as it loading huge, well its a very large set, but if you scale the set down it won't be scaled properly for the figures. the proper way to deal with a set of this size is to pull the camera back.
Thread: Poser to Cinema4d, models to small? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
not really any need to do that as C4D can scale automaticly based on file type in the persons prefrences, the reason I meantioned the Riptide plugin is becouse it preserves all the grouping and texture refrences on import so importing even whole scenes is extremely painless.

Get the Riptide importer exporter from spanky, that will give you a much easier import path including preloading all textures but alpha mats. import and export at a scale of 1000 the setting is in the riptide import interface.Thread: What's New... | Forum: DAZ|Studio
well hair has specific fits, and the same with poses, they are designed for specific figures, so I prefer to use the same system putting them under the figure that they are designed for, as far as other things if they are designed to fit people in general than yes perhaps a general folder under people though I will try to avoid that personally, I do use seperate folders for General Props and Environments though if a prop is designed for an outfit say, it really should go with the outfit.
Thread: What's New... | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I am trying to promote the nested system for library formating the individual figure should be the parent for all files meant for it, so for example: if you buy a clothing package from me for aiko you will know that any studio files for that package can be found in the People/Aiko/Clothing folder. If its hair it will be in the People/Aiko/Hair folder and than textures for that product will be in a subfolder of the product, to my mind this is a lot more organized than the poser system where I am forced to put things in places that don't make sense. and spread them all over the library rather than keep different parts of the same package together.
