yeah as much as it frustrates me I have been delving into Blender a bit too as I know it's not going to vanish and will even run on Linux if I ever need to walk that path.
Carrara does everything and I keep finding more exciting ways to do things in it but the days are numbered.

had to go to church so shut down my PC after saving it

after 1800 frames it started again so now I am rendering 60FPS and am going to go through and delete the rogue images before compiling in hitfilm
that's not a solution BTW, just all I have

OK, not sure where to post this but I found something interesting
I render at 24FPS
my cloths were not syncing in Octane, it was correct every third frame
so I changed to 30FPS and its fine
I am unsure if its Carrara, VWD or Octane plugins that are the issue
I can live with it, my animated renders will just take 1/6 longer
but am a bit puzzled as to why it would not at least tween

Autodetect has never been something I like to do even in DAZ studio as it finds a lot of stuff I do not wish to add that are for various reasons in a runtime structure.
It never finds stuff on my extra drives in Carrara either.
I can see how having 25 of them could be a bit of work though.
Damn I wish they cared full stop, it's such a shame, Bryce and Hexagon too.
They are sitting on some seriously awesome programs if only they were kept current.

well the fact you could get Genesis 3 to work in Carrara and they could not be bothered or support your efforts speaks volumes of their interest in the program and selling their content. I am still an utter sucker buying more than most even though not encouraged as I just love collecting I think and maybe sadistically making stuff work or find solutions. Most just move on, DAZ studio just still has too many features lacking for me.

I am just glad Misty made her characters
The Blended weight conversion does not stop the original Genesis 3 figures crashing Carrara BTW, Misty fixed the stuff that did that
and I suspect that's why a few odd outfits still do too.
