Yeah, Metatools created Bryce (and Kai's Power Tools which were very big once upon a time) and they linked up with FD/Poser creators. I think the very original creator of Poser is still around...is it Doc Mojo maybe? (creator of Mojoworld) cheers

check "trekkiegrrl" here in freebies - she might have done one, I have a faint memory of it

any kind of well-made robing would sell well - there's so little of it out there. Just make sure that any piece of religion-specific trimming/collaring/hooding etc can either be morphed or hidden so your sales aren't limited. cheers

heh, this in combo with previous topic suggests a bizarre conspiracy. But you might want to check the code of that email to make sure it is what it says it is (click "reply" on the mail window and look at the destination/source addresses to make sure they match CL etc) Anytime you get a mail asking for any sort of info and you detect an inacuracy, check out the code cheers
Thread: James' hair... what's the problem??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You could try the forums at RDNA (www.runtimedna.com) - they have a closer association with the creation of these new wigs - they're helpful folks, I'd be shooting in the dark from this point on. That hair style is awesome, one of the best male styles around from what I've seen - would be a pity if you couldn't get the best out of it. Cheers

Hi there I'm talking about the semi-transparent object is that is sitting flush against James' scalp in the first two renders - I have P5 so I can't give you it's object name, I only recognise the problem A skull cap sits just above the figure's skin surface and gives the illusion of hair stubble, the hair strands sit above the skull cap as a separate or multiple objects (those in render 3). Looking at your renders I can see that in render 1, the skull cap is colliding with the skin surface (it's not placed correctly) - in render 2 the skull cap is seemingly in the right place but the fringe/forehead edge is sharp (which is wrong of course) - so it's either not being placed/conformed correctly on James' head (the "hair-edge" pattern is being hidden beneath the skin surface) or it's transparency map hasn't been set properly (in render 2 a transmap would give those straight edges at his hairline a realistic hair pattern or a kind of diminishing stubble effect) The skullcap is used for the purpose of giving the scalp area of your figure the appearance of a close-shaved head of hair - the hair strands/objects above (isolated in render 3) give the figure's hair body and length. So you need to make sure the skull cap is conforming properly - once you're sure, if it still has those straight edge fringe lines, you'll need to investigate what's happening with the skullcap's transparency map...it's possible you have a disconnected node in the material room - use the eye-dropper tool in the material room to directly select the various parts of the hair and cap if the object list is confusing you. cheers, hope that helps a bit (to see if the skull cap has it's transmap applied correctly you could just lift it out of his head completely and render it on it's own...if it renders with nice hair-looking edging, then it's as it should be - if it's sharp edges, then the transmap is missing)

looks like the transparency on the skullcap hasn't been set properly - in Material room, select the hair strands and see what the settings for the transmapped areas are - then try duplicating those settings on the skulcap I don't have P6 but I recognise the problem from P5 cheers

Looking very exciting! That truck has such a great "energy" to it's shape... The Banana Republic Guerilla colour scheme and the Post-Apocalypse Patch-up texture sound like nice ideas. Can't wait to see the "Red Neck Farmer" version! (with a rocking chair lashed into to the rear tray fer granmaw!) YEE-HAW!!!!!!!!
Thread: Tips for a more natural pose? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Try checking out paintings as well - there's also a system called "Contra-Posto" (Counter Poise) that painters and sculptors uses for creating body poses. Sometimes it's easier to see how other artists achieve a "natural" look, because usually they "cheat" in some way - add exaggerations in areas of weight etc - the "Lead Hands" approach is most noticeable - the figure looks like their hands are really heavy, creating an interesting slope to shoulders and curve to the limbs etc...

Preview pics have all been for "Hiro" - the male version of Aiko3 - I think I still prefer the look of the M3 Bishonen morphs though, but I'll keep an eye on the character add-on packs to see if one of brokers comes up with an interesting morph...

I love Jello's spoken word stuff (his big Hemp speech is great) - must go dig up some to listen to again. Can't wait to get into the finished cell. ("I like it here, it's NICE!!") cheers

quote: "It is possible that CL had to rush P6 into marketplace for some reasons" There's a week left of this financial quarter - they prolly needed to get some $$ through the door before the next quarter - Daz is doing similar pronotional stuff through to the end of march. Poser6: what's the news on the multiple undos? (single level undo just sickens me)

"Hey Dad, say hi to Mom for me...from JAIL!!!!" Didn't Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) do the vocals on that? Don Was did the bizarre music. Featured in the movie "Pump up the Volume" too...
