I think you might be using the face camera! when you then chose the other actor the whole scene changes, if you go to the main camera it will freeze the view.
However what do I know , I probably misunderstood the question in the first place.

When I close Poser 8 after rendering a successful .mov file my mac presents a crash file? 
however the poser file I just closed is not effected, any ideas.
If this question should be a separate posting I will open one up.

Environment Sphere fascinating

Changing to Ray Trace has done the job.
Quite right , the problem is sorted no flickering shadows.
All the frames were showing  the flicker.
