A few years ago I had a gallery here with quite a lot of images but then I closed the gallery for a few different reasons. When Rendo recently purchased Poser I was drawn back and I found many of the reasons that I closed the gallery were no longer an issue. Over the past couple of months I have rebuilt my gallery with both old and new images. The old ones do not go back more than two years and are probably some that would have been here had I not deleted them. I have done so for a couple of reasons, firstly people can look at my old and present work and decide if I have improved over the last couple of years. All of the renders were created in either Poser Pro 2014 or Poser 11 which I think covers a big chunk of Posers users so the second reason is that people can see what is possible with limited skills, and boy my skills are certainly limited. Final reason would be that many of the products I use are sill available, case is point would be the Master Skin Resource 7 for Dawn from 3Dream. I used this when I created my 'Caoimhe', character which I have been using for story telling for the last four years, it is still on sale and is still as stunning today as it was when I purchased it.
I like the fact that there is no limitation to the uploads, but even then I have generally tried to limit my uploads to four a day as I do not want to swamp the Poser library. There may have been odd days when I have done more than four a day, I really do not know but if I have it would have been four in the early hours of the morning (UK time) and four the same evening.
I am not saying this to upset anyone but as I have got older, like so many others, I have difficulty sleeping and my heath is on a downhill slide which will now doubt continue. Poser keeps my brain active and with the time I have and the way I work, yes I can do more than one render in a day, whether they are good enough upload to the gallery is another story. It may be easy to make a judgement on this issue from a personal point of view and there is nothing wrong in that but it is also your view might be different if your circumstances were to change.
And your images always tell a story and aren't just another female in hookerwear. I love your stuff and hope you won't quit posting as many as like on any day.
It's nice to see high quality images uploaded to the gallery shoving those NVIATWAS images so popular in the gallery. Don't let anyone discourage you.
The really sad part is knowing that excellent images will barely get any views and maybe 2 comments if they're lucky. But the plague of tpose-d, default lighting FF renders get 10+ comments with "AMAZING IMAGE" "WONDERFUL POSE!!!!!@@@!!!!" "BEAUTIFUL RENDER!@&*#@@!!!" and I'm wondering wtf they're actually looking at. It sure isn't the tpose wonders they're supposedly commenting on.

If you're intending this for a print, I'm assuming you're going to do some post work in Photoshop or another image editor. I would just break the image up into sections, render in four or more parts and just combine the rendered sections in post if you want to break it up over a few days. My workflow also consists of rendering the image @300dpi but 25 - 50% larger than what my intended print size would be, shrink it down in photoshop add a very small amount of sharpening and have a much sharper and cleaner image than the original. You can also get away with slightly less pixels samples when you shrink down the image, just like a high ISO image will look cleaner at a reduced size, the same happens with rendered images.
Is this a timed work?

If I upload something every few months I consider it a lot. 5+ a day, that's just wacky crazy insane-o-plex!

Now this brings back memories, not all fond ones though, 'cause I hated the giant icons and GUI that Poser had back then. It was still fun and the moment I realized it had the "dancing baby" I knew that Poser was gonna be awesome even with the ugly as sin interface.

rokket, I love that face for LF on BW! Would you even want to share it as a morph I'd be first in line to get it. :D

This sounds fun! It's definitely not my usual work flow but I'll give it a try.
I have no idea what figure I'd use or what month, I also need to buy some super hero-ish gear and clothes.

A search for Frankie Baywatch yielded nothing usable. Perhaps you could give more details like the vendor name. Which version of Poser are you using? You stored it on your desktop? Vita, I'm sorry I don't understand but what is Frankie Baywatch or Frankie Programs?
I opened this thread because of the title and I had no idea what I was going to see in it. From you and Glitterati's reaction to the image with the wacky story of Frankie Baywatch Drug Dealer Baywatch that Razor found to the actual Franky Baywatch model, I was definitely not disappointed!
I'm seriously considering getting Frankie Baywatch... yes I know Baywatch isn't in his original name but dangit' that's what I'm gonna call him!

Oh absolutely! For years I put off upgrading because my old CPU was EoL and I'd need to switch out the cpu/mobo/ram and that just seemed like a huge pain. So I didn't do anything and suffered due to how slow and antiquated my system had become.
I finally upgraded this year and the difference is like going from a 1995 Hyundai Accent to a Bugatti Veyron, it's allowed me to work on the bigger scenes that were impossible to work on before and unlike my old system, I can actually still use my computer when I'm rendering those large scenes!

From the dumb naming scheme from Nvidia to the lack of Touring support in Poser, it's all very confusing and easily misunderstood. I'm not sure what to suggest, on one hand the 1660 is great and should work fine with everything else but on the other, it is probably incompatible with SF. But you can always use the CPU to render, it'll just take time.
I'm sorry that's the situation because you shouldn't have to deal with this nonsense. Poser 11 came out in 2015, it's almost 2020 and people have to use hardware from almost five years ago to use SF with an nvidia card? That's a bunch of crap.
Yeah - SM should have written a render engine to an API that didn't exist at the time, and only addresses part of their customer base.
What were they thinking?
Sarcarsm... oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

But even without RTX on the 1660, you've got a wonderful and fast card that can use CUDA in Blender. Your card is almost as fast as my 1070 is, that's going to be a huge speed boost for you!
Thanks for the link to that comparison chart. The funny thing is I had told the sales rep. I was interested in the 1080ti, but I had read in one of my tech newsletters that though the 1080ti was very good, it was older and missing some of the newer things I'm assuming the 1660 he recommended to me does have.
If I weren't so used to rendering with CPU for all these years, I would probably protest a lot louder, but my response to your initial comment about the 1660 just surprised the heck out of me.
The funny thing is that I've read on here that people have issue with the 1080ti. I think the thread may even be at the bottom of the first or second page. But enough of that though, enjoy your new laptop and happy rendering! :)

Yes, that's what I've been doing for the past 8 years, because the old laptop didn't have a GPU at all. I was so looking forward to having a GPU again. Oh well, at least this puppy has 6 cores, instead of 4, 16GB Ram, instead of 8, and a lot of other goodies. I would've gone for 24GB Ram, but they only had 8, 16 or 32, and that was just a bit more than I wanted to spend on Ram right now.
I guess I'll just have to wait another year (or 2) before I can use the GPU to render with SuperFly. Hmmmm, I usually only use Blender for modelling, but I wonder if Cycles will be affected as well. I guess that will remain to be seen.
Blender 2.81 seems to love RTX/Optix which makes it even more imperative that Poser catches up with... literally everyone else. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=blender-281-optix&num=3

I would enjoy your new laptop and not worry about SF. They're going to have to eventually update it to support Touring or pretty soon 99% (if it isn't already that) of the people buying new computers/laptops with nvidia cards won't won't be able to use SF. Once it does work, you'll have a perfectly capable card that will be very fast at rendering.

RTX itself isn't the problem, it's the Turing architecture that the card uses that Poser/SuperFly doesn't support. Unfortunately the 1660 uses Turing so it's most likely going to fail to render anything with SuperFly.
CR*P!! Well that certainly DIDN'T make my day.

I also just got a brand new laptop, and I went with the GTX, as I had heard quite a few complaints on both the SM Poser forum, and here on Renderosity, about the issues with the RTX 20XX series and rendering with SuperFly. I don't know anything about the RTX 10XX series, but since those who have the GTX cards haven't had any complaints, I figured I'm pretty safe getting one of those.
There's no such card as a RTX 10xx, RTX is only available on the 20xx series.
Which graphics are powering the laptop? Even though 20XX series does offer a GTX variant, it's still based off of Turing which would make it incompatible with Poser's SF. If it's a GTX 10XX series or older, you're fine though!
I read in one of the posts where someone mentioned the 10XX series, but I just realized it was the "Nvidia 10XX" series the poster was talking about, so my mistake. I myself had never heard of RTX until the new 20XX cards a few folks were complaining about with rendering in SuperFly.
This new laptop has a GTX 1660, which is what the sales rep. suuggested when I said I definitely didn't want the RTX GPU.

I would like to see a version 5 of miki, but make her look more like Miki 2.
What I'd like to see most in improvements is soft dynamics for skin and muscle. So if there was a Miki 5, if she's sitting down that would make the sides of her hips expand out slightly and the points of contact under her legs to the back of the knees are pushed up/in like they would in a real person.
I know there's the bullet physics but I'm talking about built in body dynamics that can react in real time while posing. I don't think this is possible in the current version of Poser, but the two things that really kill a lot of immersion of Poser images for me is bad posing and not understanding human weight distribution and figure/surfaces that don't show any signed of interaction. Soft body dynamics would go a long way in solving one of these for me.
