Highlight the 'poser.rsr' file with the mouse, i.e., single-click on it. Press alt-Enter. It will open a Properties dialogue box. At the bottom will be a set of attributes. If the 'Read only' attribute is checked, uncheck it. Make your you have a back-up of the 'poser.rsr' file before you start up Poser. Hope this helps. Mike

Try Yamato's New Blink Left from the Poser Factory. http://www.interq.or.jp/red/pandt21/DLmorph.htm I don't know if that will help, but it's worth a shot. :/ Mike

I figured it out. Well, I solved the problem. If you set the poser.rsr to read-only, then start up Poser, it will freeze up when you apply a pose. Why this happens, I don't know. However, if poser.rsr isn't set to read-only, then Poser will inexplicably re-write the rsr after you exit the program. :/ Mike

Nance, I selected the areas in the neck and assigned them all to the shirt. After saving both the object and the template, and copying them to the correct Geometries directory, I opened the character in Poser. It still had the same holes in the shirt. :/ newc, You're right. There must be a problem with the mesh. Oy! Mike

Thanks for the info, Steve. I checked out my disc and there it was. Good news: The MT's work on the head. Yay! Bad news: I'll need to make new textures based on the new UV mapping. Not much of a problem, really. Worse news: The UV mapping is screwed up on the shirt, and I can't seem to fix it with the Materials Editor thingy! :/ sigh Any suggestions? Mike

Have you tried playing with the morphs included on the P4 male, like Brow, JawStrength, FlatBridge, et al? You may be able to come up with a passable Neanderthal. Good luck, Mike

It was probably this change that caused the problem: "Limits are now applied when IK is on. This was not being applied in the original Poser 4.0 This may change your current poses until you turn Use Limits off. " Glad to have been able to help. Mike
