Ref: going to war - Ok, no need for anyone to get insulting about a program which they probably do not use anyway. Delete Bryce? For shame on them! Quite a few of us Brycers use additional programs to enhance our images. I guess when one loads up one of those "professional" programs, one develops "tunnel vision"! Kind of like "can't see the forest because all those darn trees are in the way"...

Sad thing about this whole affair is that he probably could have had a bunch of artists sign on to his idea if he had bothered to ask. Oh well, I have two websites which I use, Here at Renderosity for the pleasure of sharing ideas with my fellow artists, and Freshmeat for sharing images with the Open Source crowd. If I should ever get as good as the DigitalBlasphemy, maybe I can actually make real money from my artistic efforts.

No reflection on you, MoonGoat, but one of the shortcomings of Bryce is the inability to indicate a water/land interface (or shore line). Waves 'crashing' into a rocky shore should produce 'foam' at that location. The shores of the islands lack a good shore line. Any volunteers to pass this info onto DAZ? Perhaps they can add a new feature/module to allow good shore lines. Just a thought... BTW, great picture!

That sort of footwork (copyright statement) is the work of someone trying to sidestep the copyright issue for other people's copyright. I saw several pictures from the http://www.digitalblasphemy.com website. I wonder if he is aware of the issue. Also saw some Disney pics, Simpsons, Looney Tunes (WB), .... wonder how they feel about such a site?

Well! Looks like I accidently found a way around the problem. If the meta-ball group is a relatively uniform distance from the camera, the distance mask will give you an image which can be massaged (in Gimp or Photoshop) to produce a object mask. Now everyone who reads this will know.

So my spelling was not the best ... so shoot me so that I get on with enjoying this forum 8-) Besides, all readers knew what I meant. Now, I will have to experiment with breast maps and terrains...... see if I can duplicate the draculaz experiment.

Depends on the scene. If the scene has a shadow cast into it by an unseen object (because of lighting), definately add the unseen object. otherwise, hollywood style is very effective.

What? no comments from the "drac"? Rochr, be careful, Drac may be planning "The Revenge of Draculaz"!
