Bryce doesn't have posable figures, that's what Poser is for. Tough to make the two work well together on animation. I don't have/use 3D Studio, but it should be possible. Still easier to composite the two anims with Premiere, tho.

Hmmm. You would probably be better off using something like Premiere. Maybe it can be done, but it will be tedious and error-prone.

Gee, Blood, you're a tough one ... 'And here they come, approaching turn one. They seem to be having a bit of trouble negotiating that banked turn, Bob.' I like this one, I'm gonna finish it up and add a gloomy Bryce background. I'll post a smaller image when I'm thru.

What industrial plant is complete without lots of ducts? And storage tanks, and piping, and maybe some fencing?

Or the River Styx Raft Race? Yes! What's next? The Javelin Catch? This started as a joke, but it is generating too many good ideas!

An-TON! An-TON! An-TON! That's thinking of the peasants! The great unwashed masses thank you. Hah! You, need ideas? Fat chance. But, here's a few from my wish list: A big Blackbeard-style coat (see Roman Polanski's 'Pirates!' for Walter Matthau's portrayal of Cap'n Red for the best known example.) Tri-corner hat to match. Hercules-style Lion-skin wrap. Napoleonic military uniforms. British-judge style powdered wig, and robes. Women's powedered wig, for ballroom, BIG hair, 17th century. Men's powdered wig, 17th century. Plenty more where that came from.

Geez, ya gonna stop back now and then, or just never come here again? I hope the former. Is this another example of success being its own worst enemy? As a hobby-site grows, the expense/trouble needed to keep it going pushes it into quasi-commercial endeavors in an effort to continue 'growth with quality.' Oh well, another site to bookmark and check up on. See ya, Jeff, MadRed

VG. My 2 cents worth, it looks like the hands are L-R symmetrical. Alter (pun intended!) the position of one or both of the hands slightly.

They might be 'explosion' or something similar. They work OK for localized splashes; for full-shoreline effects you are better off working with the textures and transparencies. I've found that MMT - mix, match, and tweak - is a half-assed solution, but it is always available. ;)

One way: if you have Poser4, import the 4 'splatter' props and stretch them to shape. Hell, just import them anyway, you won't need Poser. I tried this on a WIP and it looked fair, and this was on the 'Tidal Wave' obp available somewhere. I've also used the same splatter in Poser for a goose landing on water, worked out nicely. I've only recently re-acquired Bryce(4) after 18 months without it, so I'm still boning back up on it. But ... make a cylinder (horizontal) and work with volumetrics or clouds to get the right 'mistiness.' This can be tucked into the curl of an upcoming wave for the 'pipe' effect of surfing. Haven't tried this one yet tho. And wind-blown spray, now you got me spinning! Someone MUST have a better way? ...

Tickets, please ... Ya can almost hear the whine of the engines spooling up. But where's the bumper stickers? ;)

Very good. Now they need to follow it up with more 'White Papers' on other compression/display issues! MadRed (the demanding one)

Oh. I haven't seen Gladiator yet. (Today?) Still, it looks bitchin. Now a trident and net, or short knife and buckler! And how about the one-shoulder guard? A`la Spartacus? And better greaves! And while I'm at it, what about the Colosseum? Palatine Hill? Ben-Hur? Sorry 'bout the rant, I'm still revving up with coffee. ;)
