Hi all. Plenty of excellent ideas. (I'm no stranger to soft dynamic on parametric figures). The attention to crucial details and innovative thinking are evident (hide node and nailing options are just great!). VWD and the bridges are in good hands indeed!
Few cool ideas I concur with: pause-resume, pose-to-morphdial button, sphere field fall-off, pinch&fold, wire shaded. The idea for an option to temporarily cache sessions: yes too, nice to be able to store (say up to 3) simulation iterations would be cool (with mini buttons iter1/2/3 or drop down perhaps).
A "glaring" issue: the blindingly bright viewport background makes working on main objects extremely straining on the eyes, esp the shocking contrasty jumps between VWD and DS/Poser/Carrara's darker style visual themes preferred by intermediate users. Please allow at least grey scale customization of background color.
Viewport and workflow fine-tuning is crucial indeed (very grateful that it's been acknowledged). :) So yes to visual guides hide/show (one button each will do).
Workflow between VWD and host app mouse behavior synchronization in particular:
Having to sim in a new window often means losing familiar click-saver 3D mouse, and I'm further discouraged by the need to CONSTANTLY JUMP between native mouse language vs plugin's right mouse sticky background to orbit. Please take note that all **3 apps here Poser, Daz Studio, Carrara speak the common language of LEFT click sticky on a in-viewport Gizmo. ** I suggest, at the least, if VWD cannot auto-detect host app mouse settings/preference, at least provide a user custom option for left/ right click sticky on background. May seem like a small issue, but it adds up fast!
Other ways to retain the FLOW back and forth VWD-host-app: LAMH way of incorporating Daz Studio style in viewport navigation gizmos, including the crucial 'Roll Cam cube' and Center and Frame selected button. Reset camera, and esp 6 direction cam (one cycle-toggle hotkey/button will do) always help object-oriented workflow. Carrara has a lasso zoom to selected area option I recall, another way to quickly intuitively auto-center selected object area.
Importing pre-assigned groups from host apps: VWD has nice vertex selection tools, great for Poser users, and definitely for spontaneous selection. From experience, clothing parts correlate frequently with both surface groupings and face (joint) grouping. Poser already has that option for Morph brush (by mat group) for that reason. Daz Studio has excellent poly selection tools and multiple unused groups so would be nice to harness that too. Perhaps add select pre-assigned Vertices option - from DS Selection Subsets/ Surface groups/ Face groups. Carrara also has vertex groups/ shader domains.
Basically my perspective is the more integrated a plugin is with the host app, the more user-friendly and easier entry, and the better take-up rate.
Thanks for giving your precious to listen to my requests and good luck to all for this creative and charming project!

Blender is cool but come on they have dynamics cloth and physics, and Poser Carrara Daz Studio all have left click sticky on orbit gizmo. Sounds like another custom option?

Just watched the very helpful video tutorials (thank you Biscuit!) I'm definitely on board this amazing plugin.
The collision options are very well thought out. I particularly like the vertex selection and pinning design. Good job on the details...can't wait for the DS version to go final.
My biggest concern is the unintuitive interface language. Switching from Daz Studio 3Dmouse back to manual mouse I can deal with. But am not looking forward to awkward right click operations at all. If possible please stick to more universal sticky left click background for orbiting. Panning with right click and zooming with middle mouse is universal enough. Alternatively, add DS cube/ frame/ zoom-frame gizmos (what LAMH did).
More minor: please allow color selection for viewport. The white is too glarish as is, made more shocking when jumping back and forth from DS graphical interface styles, the popular Highway or pro-eyes-friendly Darkside.
No doubt the functionalities will satisfy the most stringent dynamic users. But ultimately ease-of-entry (interactive language familiarity) and overall user-friendliness is key to wider adoption.
Keep up the good works!

I haven't updated the script since first bought it mid Feb, installed in the program directory.
Just checked, the script is dated feb 5 2016.
It worked with 4.8, with the lite version of optitex.
Later I updated to 4.9, no change of script. Worked.
Bought the proper version of optitex. All worked.
So far I played around with prop converted from conformed G3 as well as imported Obj. No issue. Worked as advertised.
My system win7-64....

It is at 5:30 that I knew I have to try out this plugin!
I'm no new to clothing dynamics but the ability to manipulate soft dynamics in realtime like this at 5:30 is just so sexy!

Good works and really looking forward to the launch!

Thanks wolf359 for the heads up. I just bought Dyncreator and it worked in my DS4.8.
So weird seeing my own custom dress draping onto Genesis inside DS viewport... Never dreamed it was possible!

I personally avoid trying to convert previously built conformers to dynamics because of different grouping as seams & such.
I seem to recall DS dynamic clothing are themselves "semi" conformers...
I just check out Dynamic Clothing Control product page
One of the pics seem to show (surface/mat) groupings as "Layers"
If that means different rigid/ soft weighting per group, that would be sweet!
Anyone here has the Dynamic Clothing Control? What those "Layers" do really?
I may finally have a good reason to buy this wish list item after all this time
On a side note its a shame that Maxon Cinema4D is at R17 and costs $3700 USD and still can not do basic clothing draping like this (but I digress).
Oh no digressing at all.
Sometimes I do wonder with my crazy time+$$$$ investment in DS/Poser/iClone/Carrara is better spent on a do it all tool like C4D...
Now you make me feel better !!!

I was just about to say, if Daz Studio suddenly adopts meaningful physics I will jump up and down like a happy sock puppet.
This is a good start, even if it is not real physics cloth just a dynamic cloth hack.
Will this Dyncreator cloth collide with chairs and things?
The only reason I'm at Poser is because of soft body and native physics. Now Poser has to get real time animation record or Puppeteer to keep me. :D

I'm a new migrant to Poser Pro 11, straight from iClone 6, Daz Studio, Carrara. Goal is a tool set for character animation, smooth custom content pipeline, quick i/o, speedy render. Attractor is definitely dynamic soft cloth and physics.
Overall, no buyer remorse, it's possible to start work and create immediately. Nice to have 3D mouse and viewport raytrace shadow, and a tested GoZ workflow. Superfly and raytrace viewport still WIP, but the great potential is there. Age issues like scene manager can be rectified with well-written 3rd party scripts etc. Community is definitely brainy and supportive.
There are however some serious "workflow handicaps" that need attention, if only to keep Poser on par with its prosumer peers and stay relevant in the prosumer animation department for the near future. Good news is these could be rectified easily with near future SR.
My following suggestion are additive/ optional and should not disable/ disrupt existing user's habit.
Universal manipulator should be universal: Rotate in 6 axes. Translate in 6 axes. Scale in 6 axes.
Universal manipulator needs custom transparency/ thickness/ shading option (currently invisible at certain angle/ background/ preview render condtions).
Rotate tool (as Poser Twist/ Rotate/ Rotate-Universal) should by now have set degree increment (10/ 15/ 45 degrees or free).
In-Viewport Concise Selection: All Transform tools (Move/ Rotate/ Twist/ Scale/ Universal manipulator) should be able to Select Whole Figure or Whole Prop.
Proposed: a clean and fast solution across all cameras: Double Click on anything in scene to Select Whole and Center.
(at least as an Interface option to be switched on under global Preference)
In-viewport basic Duplicate/ Array (the weirdest missing feature so far)
Translate tool to expand to become in-viewport Copy/ Duplicate tool for figures or props with CTRL pressed.
Universal Manipulator should become in-viewport Multi-Duplicate array tool for figures or props with CTRL-SHIFT pressed.
Animation UI/ GUI
Animation Hotkeys urgently wanted - Space Bar play/pause the most universal AV CG interface hotkey missing in Poser a game dev anim tool, seriously SM? ;)
Animation key scrolling auto-linked to Wacom dial or gaming controller scrolling (possible in Carrara the antique neglect-ware).
Animation Control needs Play Range (seriously?).
Animation Pallette Play Range needs 3X larger handle and need to be on top with Timeline scrubber.
Animation Pallette keyframe tracks need to have collapse-able hierarchy:
Audio Scrubbing needs to be audible (currently scrub resolution too coarse to be useful for viseme/ phoneme finetuning).
Audio Scrubbing needs to be visible in Animation Palette (in its own Layers).
Audio Scrubbing in needs to have its own Play Range.
Animation Layers need to catch up to year 2000 standard and have buttons to be
To catch up with the other template based animation tools:
All of the above are not special but character animation BASICS...
Advanced animation wise, would be great to have official support for volumetric particles
Carrara style replicator, instance scattering and flocking scripts. There're more, but another time.
Think about what these additions will mean to the typical game dev's animated character pipeline.
Think about how all this enhances the creativity of Poser animators and moviemakers.
Think about the possibilities for new animation-centered store product lines - content or addons!
Thanks for reading and considering this...
Hope 2016 will be a good year for character animators in the Poser PRO space!

Animation was the only reason I loved using daz studio. though it has a some draw backs now. So I'm going to try poser again.. it has more features like physics & built in dynamic controls for animation plus all my older FX content i have still works in poser 2012 so I guessing it will with poser 11 maybe not until i try it..
Though you got to admit , It seems every time Daz comes out with a new software version upgrade, some how they manage break compatible with last copies of their software. even some content. . they pretty must totally broke compatibility with poser and carrera now. I don;t see how that is for the better But some how they do. I dunno how daz 4.9 works with Iclone now either because i don't have iclone . But I assume Daz it broke compatibility with iclone the same as poser & carrera .
I got some great in programming fx tools like Nerds fire & smoke, and Nerds wave & Dusty trail tool. Practical FX etc they all use to work great in Daz still. but not anymore. Also I've been hearing & seeing some really good results with superfly That has intrigued me to try using poser again. I have PP2012 when i get paid this Friday I'm gonna use my 60% upgrade coupon & update to poser 11.
I have used DS Carrara iClone for animation and recently got on board Poser 11. I have to say Poser meets most of my intermediate-pro character animation needs. Poser 11 got serious face lift, still some aging UI issues that can be easily fixed (namely animation UI)
Can't argue with Poser's soft body implementation and many soft cloth options - including finer conforming clothing control. Poser's Bullet 'live' mode is just amazing, especially after the Carrara Bullet battlefield experience!
Poser, even 2 years ago, is way ahead in physics department. Today iClone is close but not there, maybe another year. Carrara is a could've been. DS, who knows.
If DS (5.0?) suddenly grow some Physics muscles... Physics as in soft body on figures + rigid body... live collision... and maybe some volumetric particles!! I will still likely go back to DS as the main tool!
I do miss DS's Animate2 instant NLA clip preview... And definitely the original Puppeteer... DS has great grouping tool and good ZBrush support too which helps!
I want to animate characters... If I had to choose I always choose dynamics, and better UI.
From a content creator perspective... Physics = another potential-rich category of product line!
