You build hair models starting with a skull cap in most cases,
Uvmap it, assign material groups, then you need to group it if it has more than just head, ie neck, collars, chest,(depending on what character your creating it for)
Then save/export as an obj
You would then Paint the uvmap with a texture and a transmap
You will then need to import it to studio and rig it to match the groups you created above.
Aplly the texture and transmap and save it as a studio figure file
You can not make dynamic anything for studio
You may want to check out the two hair creating plug ins for studio, sold at daz if you want to create strand based hair.
If you model hair as above ,you can also skip the grouping and rigging and make it a standard prop that parents to head of a figure.

Thread: how to use uvmap do texture map | Forum: DAZ|Studio
correct to the above.
after loading your uvmap into a paint program,
make a copy
then make a new layer
then select the area around the uvmap
on the new layer color/paint your texture
then save out as a new texture to the item.
if you need it bigger resize the uvmap before you do the above .

Thread: Clothing PNG's | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Your welcome
The clothes your asking for would end up being a solid color , most likely white.
And if one removes the body from the clothes and renders it to a png then be aware that the back side is going to show, so you will have to cut those peices out.
For what your wanting it would actually be easyer for daz and poser users to pose a doll with the clothes on it then do a png of the doll and then the clothes,so they match up correctly.
Let me know if you would like another pak of bodies with matching clothes. You got my email.
For 10$ ill give you ten bodies/poses and an outfit for each one in your themes.
Kisses ss

Thread: DAZ vs Poser and basic license question | Forum: DAZ|Studio
As a newbie stick to studio, until you get everything figured out. Its free.
Studio and poser can both use an external drive to store your runtimes/content.
Both of them state what other product requirements you need for a product on there store pages, dont just look for if its a poser or ds something and up.
They both can use and load most of the same figures and contest.
The exceptions are dynamic clothes, materials, shaders, and studio only genesis figures/content.
They both work basically the same, and everything has a learning curve.
First things to learn are
How to use the software interface
Learn about figures-the skins/charaters and clothes are figure specific, v4 items do not fit on other figures, charaters/skins apply to the figure-they are not stand alone items
Clothes/textures, you need to learn that textures only apply on to the clothes, so you must have the clothes first. Textures are not stand alone items
Second thing to learn is
Learn to load a figure,apply a character/skin, load clothes,apply a texture,then add hair,ect... and pose the figure.
And finally third learn about content/runtime organization before you download hunderds of things and end up with a mess.....lol

Thread: Where to put a Daz Scripts and other things | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Daz scripts should have instructions on how and where to install. Otherwise they tend to go in your windows , programs, studio folder, scripts.
Just plain obj files are models that have no rigging , they dont go anywhere , just make a folder on your desktop to store them in, to load them into studio you have to import them.

Thread: Using d-former to creating small indentations on a figures surface? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
doing something along these lines is done the same way as fixing poke thru, its just a matter of placing the deformer and sizing the field and then pulling or pushing till you get what you want.
also remember if your using genesis then the characters can collide against the other figure or its clothes as well.

Back to topic, you all missed the main question,
After you installed the studio program, did you then install the actuall content
files, there separate and not part of the program install.
All the files will be listed inyour daz order history account when logged in.
