I can't believe some of these people! I'm not a subscriber to PWFW site, but I've thought about it. And I can tell you for one that I would not be discouraged by this thread from getting one. In fact, I think its encouraging. I can see that Rena is a very real, honest person. I don't see why it has to be repeatedly brought up that 'well, if you were in customer service and you did that, you'd get fired.'... it doesn't matter to me. I'd rather deal with someone who is very real and personable then some blank-faced customer service rep who lies behind a smile. If I were to subscribe to this site, I wouldn't see it as a business ANYWAYS. Because I get the impression that its not really supposed to be. It seems to me to be more like a community that you make a donation to in order to keep it in existance! And if someone repeatedly complained about one aspect of it in public and just wouldn't let it die, I wouldn't blame the manager for feeling hurt and speaking her mind. Thats much more of a community attitude then a business attitude. And I think its a more comfortable way to be. Thats my two cents as an outsider in all of this.
Thread: This has nothing to do with Renderosity. | Forum: Community Center
You know, the other day some men in business suits came to my door and said: "Hi, with the way things are in the world today, do you think it is possible for there to be one government that will usher in a new era of peace and love?" I'm sure they were about to go on to spout some religious nonsense... I simply told them this: "I'm not interested in hearing this. I don't really believe in that peace thing." It doesn't matter whose names are connected to it, there will always be strife and war. People will always die in mass numbers. Its something deeply ingrained and its as complicated as our genetic code. There will always be conflicts over resource. Will America be the next country to lose out in this game? Maybe, maybe not. Did we choose the wrong people to lead the country? Probably, but all they can do is change the pace of an already inevitable process. Do I want to die? Of course not. I like my life, I love my fiance, I adore my pets. What I don't like is people coming in here, spouting about mass death, about some vague entity called the "Beast", and saying how America is going to DIE DIE DIE. Bit over dramatic don't you think? I'm sure this little message of mine will get another equally dramatic rant, but I probably won't read it. Don't Panic And have a nice day
Thread: Dark Corner's 'Frazella' in the marketplace now! | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
If this is anything like some of the other body MOR's I've seen that were created by this team, then they're very complicated. Much more complicated then anything I could have come up with on my own. So even though it might not be a custom-made morph, its still well worth it. And always a lot of attention to detail!
Thread: RealGrrls Storewide Spring Sale! Through May 15th | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Just took a look at some of your products - your expression packs look really nice - might just have to get one of them! :) Too bad the sale doesn't start until tomorrow.
Thread: The Amy figure is Posette. Don't be fooled. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just because a claim hasn't been made doesn't mean you can go and use it without at least INFORMING people.... and you know what cracks me up SO bad? In your initial message, you said something about imagination works understanding a couple basic principles. One of them being that "just adding more vertices to an area of a model doesn't necessarily make it better"... and yet as Anton has showed us, this is exactly what happened in the hands. Plus, didn't you say something (perhaps as part of one of the images) about her hands LOOKING much better then anything else around? Well damn, her hands look exactly like Posette's.

Grrr... and I had that adventurer's texture pack on my wishlist... oh well, guess I'll never get it now. :(
Thread: That Lighting Set | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is really pathetic. The entire fact that this thread even exists is just... sad. "I've been watching the continuing battle over the matter of Blackhearted's lighting set with some interest over the last few weeks." Um... according to MY clock, this issue had been solidly dead for awhile. And now that it looks like it might actually have stayed that way, you bring it up again? What purpose does that serve except to cause further agitation? I hope the administrators delete this thread because I think the best thing for this community would be to move on and stop beating the dead Bebop... errrr... horse.
Thread: Best Vicki Textures ? ? ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
StefyZZ's doesn't do a thing for me. EVERYONE uses her. She's not that attractive and because the texture is so distintive, she looks the same no matter the facial morph. Take a look at Blackhearted's Selyne.
Thread: RE: Cake1's RealEyes | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
The settings that position the RealEyes for Stephanie are in Freestuff. Just do a search for Cake1 Hope that helps.
Thread: My first product - Wickedly Natural Eyes | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Thank you ClintH. :) I forgot to mention the sizes of the textures - the ones for Cake1's RealEyes are 1300 by 950 pixels and have the greatest actual iris size. The texture maps for the daz3d figures are 3000 by 3000 pixels at 150 dpi! The iris size is about 50% the size of the RealEye ones. If I had used the same size iris, the maps for the daz3d figures would have been 6000 by 6000 pixels - too large for normal use, but anybody willing to put in a little effort could easily make their own that size. :) The price on this package will be $15.

Thread: VERY HI RES eye textures for cake1's "Real Eyes" | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
So beautiful! I'm really tempted to buy the RealEyes and these textures now - the only problem with these is they're by far too realistic and lovely for any of the actual people models themselves! I don't think there's a single person model worthy enough to wear these.

Couple questions - can I submit early? I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow, so won't be here for the start of the contest. I can always submit later on in the contest though, I suppose. And my second question - can I enter images that I've already made and put in my gallery?
Thread: No more freestuff at The Eaglesgift. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay - let me chime in AGAIN. I bought Blackhearted's lightset before it was removed for that short duration. When I saw that someone was giving away a free set of lights that looked really decent, I thought to myself: Yea! Can never have enough nice lighting sets. ... when I saw the name of the file (which was very similiar to the title that BH has his called and the first obvious attempt at a snub on Bebop's part). I installed them and switching back and forth between the sets, I noticed that for most appearances they were exactly the same. Even what the individual lights were called were somehow a spin-off of what BH has named his. Taking a closer look at the actual settings, what I recall noticing was that Bebop had made modifications so minor that IT in itself read as a mockery. Even at that most of the lights were in the exact same positions. I can only assume that VirtualSite's experiments will turn up the same thing. I didn't take a deep, scientific look at them. I knew instantly that it was a rip-off, so I notified the proper authorities so they could look into the problem and determine the exact violation.
Thread: Ethical question about textures... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been noticing this sort of thing a lot while here at Renderosity - it seems that someone is always developing a new character texture but when I look at the pictures, its even clear to me that they're practically the same. "Oh, so they added different eyeshadow and lip colours this time around." I try to be extremely careful when choosing which textures I buy because I DO want them to be different. I've been lucky so far. The three Vicki texture packages and the two Michael packages I have are all very different.
