Zone alarm is very smart and it recognizes that the Poser.exe is not that same Poser.exe that was trying to access your network/internet before and it is alerting you of this.

Thread: How long have you used poser and how old when first used computer? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I wrote my first program in fortran via puch cards cards on a PDP-1170. My first PC was a VIC 20, taught my self 6502 assembler and started to write a first Person dungeon crawl by redefining the character set to be parts of walls. Man those were the days coding assembler routines on paper at lunch and trying them out when I got home. I never finished it before the Comodore 64 came along but it was fun. Then it was the Amiga and finally I switched to the Intel based machines. I have been using poser since the first version, but it really wasn't until P4 that I really became interested in CGI. Until then it was a tool to help make people for a game I seemed to be forever writing. Never finished the game but now I'm learning 3D Animation and maybe I will finally be able to tell the stories I wanted to in games. I'm 44.

Thanks for the input about the displacement mapping. I finally shelved the idea of using displacement maps for veins and have gone back to bump maps. It's a shame though becuase in an animation the effect of the bump map can sometimes disappear as the figure moves depending on the angle of the camera and the figure. Oh well, maybe SR4.

WOW! Thank you so much for these light tutorials. You have no idea how many hours/days I have spent playing with Poser Spot lights trying to get animated effects like rooms and corridors lit by flickering touches. Ive been trying to achieve the effect with the minimum number of lights so it doesnt slow the rendering down to much.

Thread: How good is Vue 4 and Mover for animation? | Forum: Vue
Thanks for the input. Guitta - That site was what made me consider Vue for animation in the first place. Fantastic work. Purlionius - Can you give any details on what features you found did not work as expected and more info on your experinces with the product.
Thread: Would you pay for Materials? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What I would pay for is really good tutorial on using the Material Room covering all the nodes and how to use them to obtain simple and special effects. Right Now I more play with the material room and see what I get. Which can be alot of fun but it would be nice if I had a guide like the many of read for using the material editor in MAX.
