Wow, I am in the weekly gallery! It feels good! Thanks to everybody in the forum team who voted for me!
And congratulations to all the others in the gallery!
Once again very different styles; I am astonished how different the themes can be some of our friends are working with; maybe it is the biggest pleasure of all to see all these different angles we look at our world!
Have a fine day whereever you live! billcody

It is a strange ( a good) feeling - looking here arround for photos every 2 or 3 days - and than have the best of them as a fine bundle together! Most of them I had seen before as single pics. Seeing them as a bundle is like a sort of metamorphosis; i often felt so in the past.
One more time I am astonished how different photographic styles can be and how different we see the world! A fine collection, one more time!
Congratulations for all of you and a loud "Thanks" for the jury. You have done a good job.

Dear friends and collegues,
earning comments is a fine thing, taken as someones "favorite pic" feels wonderful - but finding themself in the Gallery of the Week among all the other fine artists - this is spectacular!
I agree with citev: It`s an honor! Every comment is helpful to create the next pic better then the last, but the gallery here creates the feeling of being an "artist". And it feels good!
Thanks for all of you who worked at this compilation, and my gratulation at the comrades here!

Congratulations!
I have never had a look into your gallery, and that was a mistake. Only a short look in this moment, and I could see a great bunch of fine pics. The title "Gallery of the Month" was given to a fine artist!

Another great catch here. I hope you show us some more pics in the regular gallery later, Tara! I have a lot of frames, too - enough for 2 or 3 other contents....LOL

@mary:
I must smile about the business ideas of some people. I have never seen a piece of wall with an certificate like this, but I´m sure this one here is real. After the fall of the wall the communistic Germany offered us a lot of creative businessmen, who bought all the DDR could offer: Trabant cars, military equipment, tanks, lorries, eastern products and product names - and even parts of the wall.
I know some places with full parts of the wall: They are gifts for politicians and VIP visitors here in Berlin. Some of the segments are in the hands of private persons, waiting for a good deal. Thanks for sharing!
@PD154:
The world is small: My real name is Wolfgang, too....LOL. This was a very common name in the early 50ies here in Germany. We were 4 Wolfgangs in my basic school class - very creative....LOL
@Lashia:
Cool shot of your sunglasses; a wonderful and very simple frame shot. Why did I haven´t this idea? Welcome here!

I will hope that it is a real piece of the wall, but I´m sure. The old pieces were real. Street traders sell pieces of the wall till these days to tourists, but I´m not sure if they are real. I think they are "Made in China" LOL.
Yeah, I was there in the first night and strolled through East Berlin with totally strange people. deep in the enemies´territory, and I had no passport with me in this night. I shudder when I think back at this moment. It could have a bad end in this night. I´m lucky that brain and heart dominated over beton and "people´s police"

I thought it must be something special, and when I did the other frames I found this here, too. It is a very strange frame - a part of the BERLIN WALL, and behind the wall stands a great colorful tourist bus and waits for a traffic light.........
These holes in the wall are handmade by angry Berlinians when the wall felt and the communistic Germany felt in pieces. Only a few parts of the WALL is in its origin, for tourists and for remembering this sad history.
This snapshot is a miracle (LOL) because it was a giantic work to create this three frames:
-Thousands of construction workers had to build a massive wall around a whole city with 2,5 million inhabitants;
-these workers needed a giantic mountain of material and money to pay it;
-tenthousands of policemen and frontline troupers had to watch that nobody got lost in a time of more than 28 years;
-nearly thousand persons were killed as victims, more then 100 between Berlin and Berlin;
-hundredthousands inhabitants of Berlin needed all their energy to hack holes in the wall to create these frames - and this here is the result of their working: Frames, dozens, hundreds, thousands, all good fine handmade.........
I hopeyou enjoy it. Have fun! What kind of contest will bring us the next month?
