I was not suggesting that you use the textures on my site for skin color, only for eyelash transparency. You can download any one of them and use the face map as a transparency map for the eyelashes. You will need to do some setup in the material editor to get it all to work. You could use someone else's transparency map, too. It may be that the Tuesday texture already has a trans map and simply needs the transparency max value set to 100 for the eyelashes. Or you might need to load the trans map for the lashes. It's probably just some little thing that got left out of the MAT pose.

Ugh... need coffee. In the materials dialog, make sure that the transparency max value for the lashes is set to 100%.

I haven't seen the particular texture you're using, but in general you should be able to substitute another trans map for the eyelashes from a different Dina texture. I would do this manually in the materials dialog. Apply the MAT pose for the texture you want first, then go to the materials dialog and find the eyelash material, then load a different trans map. Depending on how the textures are set up, you may also need to set a material color for the lashes, such as a very dark brown. If you need a trans map you can download one of my free Dina/Vina fantasy texture sets and use the head map.
Thread: How to create a rsr | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, it's 91x91. If you have Photoshop 6 or 7 (not sure about 5), you can save the .rsr directly. Do a "save as..." and then select "PICT Resource" as the file type. Also, if you export the image from Poser, pick a file type that saves the alpha channel, such as .psd. Then when you bring the render into Photoshop, make sure to select the alpha channel and invert it. (ctrl-"I" or apple-"I"), so that it reverses the white and black. Then resize to 91x91 and save as an .rsr. This will give you a nice rendered thumbnail without a background. If you're on a Mac you can use ResEdit to cut and paste the thumbnail into the resource fork of the .cr2, .pp2, or whatever. You might also be able to get MacConverter to do this for you, but I haven't tried that. The filename of the .rsr would probably have to match the name of the base file.
Thread: Poser MAC users | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Mac files use a hidden four-character code to identify the file type and creator. Some of them still have extensions, like Poser .cr2 files, but the extensions aren't really used by the OS. This is true in OS 9 and earlier. OS X is Unix-based, so it may work a little differently. In any case I've never had any trouble with Mac Converter. Even though I'm a Mac person myself, I package all of my commercial and free products in PC-format .zip archives, since most people use PCs. Mac users just need to drag and drop the entire folder after unzipping on MacConverter and it will handle the rest. You can also use Mac Converter to change Mac Poser files to PC format. I do that myself before zipping them.

For Poser 4 and Mac OS 9, it's pretty much the same except that Mac's don't use the .rsr or .png files. The thumbnails are stored in a different way. The freeware MacConverter utility is great for transferring files from one format to the other. Macs need that in order to recognize the Poser files as belonging to Poser, since Macs don't rely on extensions. This may be different under OS X, as that does make use of file extensions.

I was just kidding you about the knots and sailors... LOL. Though I think if they're getting their tails stuck in holes its quite on purpose to attract a sailor, who they will then snatch never to be seen again by mortal eyes. She's not drowning him, mind you. She just wants someone to take out the garbage and lift heavy things. I'd love to see your pic with the undead mermaid. I don't usually do dark stuff, either, but I did those mer-demoness textures for my free mermaid way back and made a pic with them sitting on the edge of a lake of blood (a bit campy maybe, but hey). The muse throws curveballs once in a while, I think.Thread: Mermaid question? not about the Zygote one. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi, Carolly! I'm glad you're enjoying the mermaids, but tying them in knots? Poor things! And subjecting them to sailors, too?

My free P4 mermaid is still available at www.graphicsmuse.com, and I also have a new free mermaid, Undine Lite, available through my website. We also offer a complete line of mermaid tails for most Poser people, as well as several unique standalone mer characters.Thread: VinaD - What am I Doing Wrong? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
