Thread: Why So Many P6 Threads? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I for one have just jumped from P4 to P6 and I only got P4 at the beginning of February so I'm inexperienced plus I know nothing about the features of P5. I don't know how to use the face room (I tried it once, and what I ended up with would have scared anyone if they had met it in a dark alleyway lol), the cloth room is confusing to me, but hopefully I'll be able to get the hang of it. As for the material room, jeez I opened it up once, thought "what the heck is this all about?" and closed it again lol. More tutorials required to study there methinks.
It is because of these P6 threads that are helping me learn more about this program, and it is good to see what more experienced Poser users think of it, it is making me more aware that any problems I have had with P6 is not through my fault, well some of them anyway, but I do know why I have had problems.
I still have a lot to learn about these new features such as the lighting and the Firefly render settings and these threads are helping me understand how they work, how you use them etc.

Ah right, that's what you do. I had stuck it in a folder in my Pose folder, and thought I had to apply it from there like a MOR file. Thanks for letting me know Francemi, that's something new I've learned today about Poser. :-)

Those Wonder Women renders look great.
I have a question, I've extracted the files for WW, but I don't know which folder the Koz Long hair morph should go as it's in a folder by itself. Could anyone please tell me?
TIA.

Oh that's great, that's the type to folder system I was wanting to do, thanks for letting me know.

Quick question about sub - folders. So I can make subfolders in Runtime/libraries/pose for MATS and Poses? I could move all my MATS into one folder and my Poses into another folder in the Pose folder? That would make things easier for me to find stuff....

Ok if you look at your dials you will see a small arrow on the right pointing right. Click on it and it gives you a drop down menu. The first option is Reset. That resets the dial. Very useful, it saves you from having to carefully adjust the dial to where it was before without going too far LOL.

Hey lzy724, I'm glad to see you did install P6. Yes I have similiar problems myself, I loaded up Jessi, played with a few morphs and her bikini didn't fit (that reset option comes in handy lol). Then I found her twin lurking lol. When you pose the figures, you have to make sure that Jessi is selected, and not her clothing otherwise her clothing will move and not Jessi (as I found out lol)

Thanks yggdrasil. I just have the one Hard drive, so I cannot move it. Yes I did a little PC "housekeeping" before I installed Poser 6. I do defrag the hard drive on a regular basis anyway, mainly because I'm forever moving files around lol. I have a bit experiment with my settings and see if they help :-)

Ah OK thank you. Mine is set to 768Mb atm. I do know that when I was using P4 and doing large renders I kept on getting warnings I was running out of virtual memory and windows was increasing it. So 2GB is the max you can set it at? Or does it depend on your PC stats? (Celeron 2.2Ghz, 512Mb RAM)
