Well from memory, the floor plane is set so that you apply a square texture map that needs to be able to tile seamlessly as it is mapped to tile twice (4 tiles). The background walls work in 2 groups of 3 panesl, being 60 degrees of view on each. You'd probably only need the rear plane for a starfield or whatever. The best bet would be to load whatever textures you have with it into Photoshop or similar, which should help clarify what goes where and how big they are.

Which elements of the environment are you referring to? - I am not sure how they have divided the products up, but I was responsible for one of the recent incarnations of the environment props and textures, (fairy woods I think they called it) and they are all easily re-textured! :) Let me know which bits you are talking about.

If the figures already supplied with Cinema don't suit your reference needs, and since the mesh you pointed out is copyrighted, you'll need to buy the figure from Daz - that one looks like Mike 3 to me.Adam Benton | www.kromekat.com
Thread: I want to be the next vue moderator | Forum: Vue
{I think I can do a better job than agiel as a moderator for the vue forums. I will allow freedom of expression on these forums without punishment. I will not pick on anyone if I don't agree with their view but I will take time to understand exactly what they mean before I pass judgement. I can agree to disagree and let the water pass under the bridge. I believe these forums should help eon know what their customers like and don't like. This way eon would have a true perspective of how people are relating to their software} A noble pledge, but since you have not been offered the position agiel already holds (and with great regard from the community I believe), your first statement, is academic. It's highly unlikely you have been picked on, mods don't have the time, the energy, or the will to single one person out of many thousand, just to make your life difficult I can assure you. These forums are not there to inform ANY of the software companies about the use of their products, and 'how we feel about them', they are for the members of this site to share tips, experiences, advice, issues etc. If you have a problem with E-On software, I suggest you contact them directly, since they are the only ones qualified to help you in that regard. I understand frustration with software companies, especially if you have invested so heavily, but continually making negative comments in any of the forums here, will not only alienate you from the majority who are happy with their software, cutting you off from a vital and useful supply of knowledge and experience, but ultimately, you could get banned for 'trolling'. Consider the consequences, or usefulness of your opinions to the rest of the community before you post in future. Adam (aka kromekat) Cinema 4D Forum Mod

{Apparently it is if a person likes the pic or not. if they person is titilated with it that makes the difference if it stays or not. -that- is not right nor fair to other artists in her} And that is obviously not the case - it's foolish to make those kind of assumptions.

Oh I see - sorry, I missed the intent in your post too - yes images remain where they are whilst being reviewed - probably based on 'innocent until proven guilty', and in this case, without custody prior to trial. :)

{ so be it. I do believe some of the other sites have a "holding area" where possible offending images are held from public view until admins determine whether the image violates the TOS or not. Maybe 'Rosity should consider implementing such a plan } bshafer - that's what Carolly just described - images are reported by other users of the site (like in this case) or are found by coordinators/moderators and either deleted immediately (if there is absolutely no doubts of TOS infringement) otherwise they are posted in a staff forum where other opinions are saught. :)

{Well, I'm not talking about anyone's age.} DarkElegance was. I have put the image in question forwards and asked for other opinions.

Speaking as a long time community member here, and as a father of 2 very young girls, I can empathise with your worries and concerns - i'd be the first to complain if I thought someone was being exploited, or some underrage porn was being solicited here, but speaking as a coordinator (having seen the gallery in question), I personally think that your perceptions on age are incorrect - the subject/artist in question looks the age she states (maybe even a little older), but even if she were actually as much as 5 years younger (which I seriously doubt), she'd be able to post these pics of herself quite safely and legally. The artist/model may be a bit of an exhibitionist, but I don't feel that she is underage in any way. There is no obvious infringement of the TOS here from what I can see (the hand over genitals may be borderline). Decisions on these matters are made based on the opinion of several coordinators, and ultimately one or several moderators.

ddruckenmiller: "Is this actually sanctioned by Lucas Films Ltd." Lucas and Co. have no problems with fanfilms as long as they don't start earning money out of it. There are even SW fanfilm awards presented by George himself every year, but it's mainly for the parody stuff. We know that Lucas is aware of this one though, I have a feeling he has probably seen the trailer by now - we certainly know that some of the guys at ILM definitely have, and are looking forward to seeing the final! :) drawbridge: "The Corvus rivals the Falcon for cool ship too" That made my day :D - Thanks!

*Clint Eastwood Voice* Post... the... damn... picture...Ian!... ;) Seriously, your dedication to Bryce purity is admirable, but it's (or should be!) about the finished picture/movie IMO - it is a great picture, and it deserves to be seen by the masses, and since you are; a)known best as a Bryce artist, b)Made 99% of this pic in Bryce anyway, and c)It's a great picture!... I am sure you'll be forgiven! ;) *start up the violins here* Many eons ago (circa.2000) I started in Bryce, and I was importing meshes and Poser figures to create scenes, and along with my good pal Curio in 2001, started a shared gallery of work which was our own original take on the events following Star Wars Episode VI - We posted in the Bryce gallery primarily, since the entire sets, scenes and renders were done there, but again, they were full of imported SW meshes and Poser figures! - they had to be really, there was no point re-inventing the wheel! *here endeth the lecture* A couple of examples I did: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=72331 http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=73491 and the entire story (as far as we got anyway) can be seen on the main link! - looks a little rough to me now, but hey 3 years ago is a long time in CG!Adam Benton | www.kromekat.com
