Quote - On my single core system, the ATI Radeon 1650 512MB AGP video adapter did not work all that well with Vue 7 Infinite and Vue 8 Infinite. But it worked great with Vue 9 Infinite and works even better now with Vue 10 Infinite (fractal terrain sculpting/editing is very fast, fluid, and smooth. As well as eco-painting). E-on improved their OpenGL implementation. ATI made no changes to the driver over the years because the adapter is no longer supported. Fallout 3 (my other app) works great on my system also.
Yes, Radeon GC's come into their own regarding games....Bring On, Skyrim...for a Christmas present.....hopefully!!!

Thread: Vue 10 render times | Forum: Vue
To be honest I think Vue 10 is a major improvement on Vue 9....and, there is a noticable improvement between render times. Those of you who are using below 12GB RAM will be affected by slowdown, especially during rendering and OBJ import operations.
I see that shaunDriscoll is using a Radeon 1650 GC, I did read one time that there were issues with this card regarding its Open GL 2 support......I am also using Dual Radeons [x2 - X-Fire] which I am thinking of swapping out simply to stay on top of the technology. I do know that the Radeon 6000 series supports Open GL 4.....so, I guess I will start looking at those soon..lol
In the past Radeons were not the best for handling 3D graphics/endering progs.

Thread: Can Poser content be used in DAZ | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Yes, in most cases you can...I have purchased many items made for Poser, specifically for use in DS3 without any problems.
Most vendors will state quite clearly their products DO NOT WORK IN DAZ..so, I never bother with those. Where vendors say NOT TESTED IN DAZ.....I have purchased those without problem too.
If you are unsure if something will work or not simply contact the Vendor before you purchase. They are very reasonable people and will give you the information you require.

Quote - the bended arm looks terriffic, one of the issues with vicky 4 for example is when posing you got to watch the arms and also the shoulderblades.
i do most of my works now in daz 4,sometimes an item does not show,i try to remeber it and work that specific scene in daz 3 then.
i have 3 versions installed as i mentionned before so i am ready for whatever turns up lol.
Yes, V4 was always tricky for me too........thats why I had to keep her clothes on....lol.

At a glance the DS4 appears near perfect. It seems like everything works in double-quick time in comparison to DS3 and render cancellation in now instantaneous. Like everything else it will take some getting used and the deformer tool is absolutely crazy.....I expect to see some amazing results when people get to grips with that......super heroes, springs to mind...lol
Anyway, here I a couple of the Genesis models .......I wanted to push the bending arm capability with the guy on the podium....this pose would never have looked so good in DS3, believe me.....lol!
Thread: D/S Downloads continously warning of virus contained. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Its always best to check any files downloaded from the internet.....befroe releasing them onto your PC.....lol.
But, in this I am 99.9% sure the conflicting False-Positives are due to your own software.
If you could download your files to another machine which does not use Kaspersky Antivirus I suspect your False -Positives would disappear.
Good Luck.......stay safe!!!
