What kind of stupid things would that be? ;) I got the PP memory patch from CL. The Vue version I used was Vue d'esprit 5. I think it is still Vue 5.1 Could it be that a memory glitch there can affect the system so much that afterwards even Poser 4 PP keeps crashing??? Funny. What's more, someone said that Windows XP can't handle more than 1 gig memory effectively. I am contemplating inflating my memory to the technical limit as soon as I can afford. Is XP really a bottleneck here? Back to Win 2000 or what?

Its not a result of my viewver either. I made some still renders from the animation and some of them became extremely foggy until the point where you can hardly see anything anymore. Any explanation?

Anti-aliasing is of course on. The whit flashes are the problem. I rerendered with less lights and the flashes are still there. I rendered some still images and some of them indeed have the whiteout phenomenon. Its really strange! I use Poser 4.0.3 Pro Pack, Athlon 2600++, 1 GB ram.

I have run the test on Athlon 1800, my machine made it in 77 secs. I got 512 MB double density ram but I guess this has no bearing on rendering such a relatively simple scene.
Thread: Ashcroft trying to criminalize certain computer-generated images | Forum: Community Center
What makes pedophile images so bad that they ought to be banned? The fact that they depict children in sexual acts alone? It is a fact that there are people around who like this. Banning such pics will not erase their sexual taste. I think that we can quickly agree that the really bad thing about pedophile pictures is the process of making them. Children are abused by making them. Thats the really bad part of it. Having virtual pics of that kind is like introducing a substitute drug for addicts. It contains the problem and prevents criminal acts. Therefore I think we should allow people to produce and view such pics which can be made without hurting real children. It is simply counterproductive to ban a substitute if you want to combat the real thing. Vices do exist. You cannot undo this per decree. CGI is therefore something that will rather protect chidren from real harm than hurt them. If you don't want to view such pics thats a totally different matter. We can tackle this by terms of service of forums and the like. Let them do their stuff in their restricted playgrounds where they cannot hurt real world people.
Thread: Sharing a render...with the plains Indian.....Dont laugh:) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi velvet rose, I just saw your great plains indian render. I am trying to do a plains indian myself. How did you do the breeches and the breastplate? Is it difficult to do the fringes on the breeches? And how the hell did you accomplish that. In deep admiration, Lookoo
