If you have Poser 6 forget about all that other stuff and in the material room just plug fresnal into the refraction node for the object you want to make look like glass. This gives you reflection and refraction. Make sure all your transparency settings are 0.0000 and set diffuse and specular to pure black. Set the refraction value to 1.0000, and click raytracing in your render options and set raytrace bounces to at least 4. All this other stuff was done before Poser 6 came along and made it easy.

Maybe you need to enter your P6 serial number. Didn't they give you a new serial number for P6?

Maybe you could explain why you would want to replace a body part with clothing instead of having the character wear the clothing over the body part. I mean when I put on a pair of pants it doesn't replace my hips and legs, so why would you want this to happen to your character?

That's good. I know it's due to budgets, having something
we can identify with, and other considerations, but it's
sort of amusing that aliens in movies usually end up looking
so human. When they would have evolved under totally different
conditions. Heck, insects have less in common
with us than the average space alien.
Even odder are the ones that mate with humans, when
likely they don't even have anything resembling DNA.
We have more in common genetically with a carrot than
we would have with a being from another planet.

Anthropomorphism in action. :o) Interesting that a female so totally alien otherwise would just happen to have breast like appendages of the same shape an location as a human female. Considering that almost no other female animal on earth except gorillas and chimpanzees have these, and then only when these animals are nursing.

Not sure, I usually just do 1200 x 900, which is plenty big enough for anything I have to do. Never had the need to do a poster or a billboard.

Yep, I have a two monitor setup. Works great. I have the left monitor with just the preview window and the right monitor has all the tools, palletes, and other clutter.

The cloth room only works on dynamic clothing, ie props type clothing. It won't work on character, ie conforming, type clothing. The only way you could use conforming clothing in the cloth room is to just load the .obj of the clothing item and then try to run that through the cloth room. But that doesn't always works because something the separate sections of the object break apart.

Are you sure you already have the required content? If not, DAZ does have a 30 day money back policy. How long has it been since you contacted DAZ? Usually they are pretty good about responding within a few days.

I guess you could parent his hand to the gun. But it seems like it would make more sense to parent the gun to the hand so when you move the hand the gun goes with it.
