I haven't received the email either. :( I have no idea what it'll be. Maybe something to do with Michael, since it's to reward people who ordered him? I could use some good Michael hair...

If you don't need the newest features of UVMPro, you can still download the free UV Mapper Classic on the same website.

What feature do you want to try out? If it's the texturing and checking how it'll look on the model, you can do that with the demo, just not as easily. You can make your texture change, save it, then load the texture in UVMPro and see how it will be on the model. I think you can also do the fixing of the edges part with the demo. Yes, you can't save your work. It would have been better if the program allowed you a limited number of saves in order to be able to fully evaluate the features. But I can tell you that the program works great for me, and if you have any problems, I am sure that Steve will be there to help.

UV Mapper Pro is great! I'm really happy with it. I haven't explored all its features yet, but there are two things I have tried and the program worked very well: 1. You can work on a texture in a 2D paint program (e.g. Painter, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.) and have the UVMPro window open on top of your paint program, showing the texture on your model. You make a change in your texture, hit some keys, and presto! you can see the changed texture on your model. You can turn the model around, zoom in, zoom out. 2. Many times when you make a prop in a 3D modelling program and bring it in Poser it somehow just doesn't look right. UVMPro can help in this, too! E.g. I had a shield that I made in trueSpace, but when I brought it in Poser the surface of the shield wasn't nice and smooth but wavy. UVMPro could fix that problem and now the shield looks perfect in Poser. There are 4 tutorials on the website which tell you how to do things, one of them deals with this issue. So I can really recommend the program, I'm very happy with it. The free demo version doesn't save and the Pro version is about $50, but I think it's worth it. Hope this helps! :) Sue

Thread: From the heart...what makes you click a pic? what makes you comment? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Unfortunately I don't always have the time to look at the new postings, but when I do, I look at the thumbnails, not the names first. If I like the thumbnail, then I check who the picture is by. If there is no thumbnail, chances are I'll only look at it if the title is intriguing. What kinds of images do I click on? I don't care much for naked women or pictures of women standing in rigid poses wearing close to nothing. I like images that have nice colors, interesting details, a story to tell. It could be a picture with human characters or other creatures in it, or a beautiful scene. If I like the picture, I comment. If I don't, I just go back to the gallery. If I know the artist is a newbie I really try to find something good in their picture to comment on, since I'm a newbie too, and I know how good it feels to receive positive comments. If I receive a comment from somebody, I usually look at their gallery, too, but this brings me to a dilemma: There might be some really nice pictures in their galleries which were posted some time ago. Do I comment or not? Since the image is not a new posting, wouldn't it seem that I'm only commenting because he/she just commented on my own picture? What do you think? Or should I just not worry about it and comment, no matter how long ago the picture was posted? So, anyway, I look at pictures that seem interesting, that suggest a story, or have beautiful scenery. HTH!

Thank you, Melanie. :) I'll probably put up the texture as a freebie sometime, I just have to get organized first! :) Sue

I just want to let you know that I'm finally done with the cat picture and I've posted it in the gallery. Thank you very much for all your help and suggestions! :)Thread: OT..Please do not read if you are sensitive. I need advice from cat owners pls! | Forum: Community Center
That's great, cinnamon! :) I'm glad the kitten pulled through. Too bad about the first vet, but it's good that you found a much better one. As you mentioned, it's really sad to think how many pet owners might have given up on their pets because of this guy... And what a nice dad you have! :)

Cinnamon, It was a very good decision to get a second opinion. It's really sad that there are vets like that first one... I don't know much about these things, but if the cat moves around that much (trying to climb out of the seat, etc.) doesn't that mean that he's not paralyzed? Or can he use his front legs but not the hind ones? I've seen reports on TV where cats or dogs could not use their hind legs and they had some kind of a contraption with a wheel put on their bodies. With this, they could use their front legs to move and their hind legs were held up by the thing and the wheel (or wheels?) made it easier for them to move. I hope the kitten will be all right. Please keep us posted!

Thank you everybody for your kind comments and suggestions; they have been very helpful. I have done more work on the eyes and managed to give white socks to the kitty. I just need to make a few more things and hopefully I'll be able to post the whole image in the Gallery soon. :) cinnamon, 22 cats? Wow!
