dburdick, is there a reason you don't run Poser and Vue at the same time? I find it is helpful to have Poser and Vue running at the same time, because if I see something I don't like in the pose after I have imported it into Vue, then I can tweak it in Poser, save it, and then Vue will ask to re-import it. Clicking ok lets me re-import the character with the new pose. If I did't have Poser running I would have to start it up again everytime I wanted to tweak the pose. Very time consuming. Much better to have the same character set up in Vue and Poser so I can make the changes interactively.

One of the first things I do when I install something is to delete all the P4 files. They are actually dangerous in Poser 5 and Poser 6 because a lot of them ask for missing .bum files and this can hang your system. Apparently Poser 4 had the ability to create .bum files, but they aren't needed in Poser 5 and Poser 6. PP files are safe to keep and can be used in Poser 5 and Poser 6.

In fact the hierarchy editor is better because you can selectively make things visable again, in case you wanted to leave some things still invisable.

There is also a bug in doing refractions if one of the object behind the refractor is transparent, that wasn't there in Poser 5. (See messages about it in previous post).
