I appeciate it when a mechant takes the time to thank me for my purchase. It's a rarity nowadays to get that personal attention. It will guarantee repeat business from me!

Thread: Anyone Know About Vue Preview Movies??????????????????? | Forum: Vue
I think he rendered to a series of sequencial image files first (from Vue) and then imported them into his video app (VitualDub) to convert them to the video file with the proper codec (being DiVX for PC and QT MPeg4 for Mac).
So he did not save the movies directly from Vue. Hope that explains it.

Thread: Character Amimation using Poser and C4Pro w/Transposer | Forum: Carrara
Poser 4 (tho not officially supported) will run fine in Classic. I run both P5 and P4/PP on a Mac.

I would render at full DV size (720 x 480 NTSC 30fps) if you want to go to DV. Yes, it takes longer, but if you want the quality, it's essential. You might try splitting up your scene and compositing your scenes in AE or Combustion. I use combustion on a G5 to combine background/midground/foreground elements together and do my post work at this stage.

Thread: Poll - Who's Still using Poser 4? - content creators want to know | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"i'm guessing that those still using p4 are the one with older computers that cannot meet the requirements for p5/p6. no reason not to support p4 unless the product requires high computer resources to use, i think."<< No, my computer can handle P6 (by it requirements) just fine, I use P4/PP out of choice.

Thread: Poll - Who's Still using Poser 4? - content creators want to know | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I mostly render animations and 5 is too slow compared tto 4/PP (even using 4 compatibility)
May consider P6 in the future once the initial bugs with first releases are worked out.

Besides the suggestions above, you might try ParticleIllusion from WonderTouch
If you are doing a lot of effects animations, this program is more than worth it's price.

Thread: How do I run a perl script? | Forum: Poser Technical
Once you get your perl interpreter installed, it's simply a matter of making sure the fisrt line in the script you have points to the installed version of perl. It's the first line in the code and will look something like this: #! If that is correct, all you need to to in run it from the command line as: perl scripttorun.pl

Thread: iMovie & Carrara?? | Forum: Carrara
Works great. I use both Carrara and Poser to render animations (mostly to sequential TIFFs w/alpha channel), composite in Combustion (saved as uncompressed QT) and import into iMovie. Quicktim uncompressed as mntioned above is the best format to import into iMovie.
