I'm going to try this later today. This should make the terrain editor a lot more useful!

What a cool place that would be to live! I'm a land lubber myself - far inland. As far as realistic waves go, guess I will just have to keep trying!

peedy and erosiaart - Sorry for not joining in sooner. I've been out of town most of the day (Mother's Day today in the US) . peedy I thought your first render with the tori was very nice. Very good idea really. erosiaart, yes, good point - the wave should blend with the sea better. Maybe some time I will see if I can fix this. And as for the watermelon w/vodka drink, count me in! I don't think we have to worry about the comfy chair unless Bryster shows back up ...
:)

I suppose you could make a nice terrain wave in Bryce. Maybe I will try it some day; I don't know when. In the meantime, bring out the comfy chair!

*Quote - "The holding down alt trick works, it lets you select the model of tree to use from the get-go and that is looking as though it works great! Thanks a ton!"
*You're welcome - don't know why Bryce has that little trick hidden away like that
:)

Weezerhopw, on a PC, when creating a new tree, hold down the Alt key, then click on the tree icon, and a list of preset trees should come up to choose from. Not sure which key works on a Mac, but I'm pretty sure you can do it on one of those machines somehow, too.

Another option is to use some non-hair room hair made of an exportable mesh. There's lots of free ones out there at sites such as www.sharecg.com and http://digitalbabes.jp. These hair figures often use transparency maps; you may need to adjust the settings for these maps in Bryce depending on how you import the figure. Hope this helps. :)

Umm.. I've noticed the Bryster doesn't talk about the comfy chair too much anymore for non-purist Brycers since he's gone over to the dark side (ie VUE moderator)... hehehe :)

Some of these used to be posted at 'rosity. I had a few site mails from him back then - a very nice man
