I'm on a Mac but I've had similar problems. Usually it happens when Bryce is either running out of memory or if the processor is really thinking about something. Things that help to avoid this problem in my experience is setting the preview window to wire frame. Buidling things in solo mode. So if you have a really complex project, click on the somehting you want to build your next thing by or near and then go to solo mode. That way Bryce doesn't have to show you where the rest of the complex stuff is--just what you're working on.

Thread: Multiple Suns, Moons & exporting .obp files | Forum: Bryce
Thanks for the kind words Hawkfyr! Another suggestion would be to make various skies with the sun and moon in different positions. Then export the rendered images, composit them into one master sky. Then use the sky as a backdrop in Poser. Sarah

Hey grook, My bad. I forgot one wee instruction. After you click E and get to the Edit Mesh window, do a CTL D. That will bring up the export. Sarah
Thread: You probably haven't heard of this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | Forum: Bryce
It sounds like you need to clean house. Go through and export and delete the ones you don't use. Then select the remainders and export them as one big obp file library. Exit/quit Bryce. Go into the Bryce folder and delete the obp file user library. Restart Bryce. Go to the user file and reimport that master obp file you created. That will bring back Bryce's performance. Then if you do need one of the others that you didn't keep, you can reimport it later.
Thread: Indoor scene | Forum: Bryce
Go to your local magazine rack and purchase an interior design magazine. Study how the lighting is done. When I do interioers, I tend to use radial lights. I prefer to use 3 or more with low light and a pastel color instead of one really bright white light.

I have never seen that either. It almost looks like she has two sets of shoulders. If that's the case, you can just delete the duplicate set. Does this always happen when you export from Poser into Bryce?
Thread: Defeating the darkness | Forum: Bryce
Make a night scene that is actually a day scene (just with a dark sky color, dark sun glow color and dark colors for the clouds. Don't be afraid to use lights. A few dim radial lights can really spruce up a scene without overwhelming it.

There's an eyeball fix for Vicky in the Bryce funstuff section here at Renderosity. Sarah
Thread: Multiplaning? | Forum: Bryce
I know how a multiplane works. I have two degrees in film. =-) Disney does have a relatively brand new multiplane which they've used in a few of their films from the last decade. I was offering two approaches to the problem--one through post production to mimic the effect and one direct--in Bryce to replicate the effect depending on the skill level and patience of the person doing the project.

Go to http://www.bryce4all.com/tutorials.htm and read the custom skies tutorial. It will help illustrate the points that Eshal made.

Thread: Can a Mac open Bryce 4 files made on a windows based machine | Forum: Bryce
Even with poser on the Mac, one can open PC files. The .rsr won't create the thumbnails but they can be rebuilt after importing into Poser (it just isn't as elegant as Bryce).
