Thank you for the bear mats! I don't yet have the bear (always thought it was hokey looking) but now with these I'll have to get it eventually, when I have the money to spare.

I hope you have a speedy and full recovery! You took on a tough job. This is one reason why I have no intention of having a forum on my site.
Have some fun and rest. And maybe convince Renderosity staff to put in an ignore button to help you out in here! :)
Be well,
Dana

To be honest, yours look a lot better than the promo images! I can't spend even the sale price on that right now. I'll have to wait.

Quote - > Quote - THE DAZ BEAR IS ON SALE NOW!! I have a really nice re-map for that bear (two bears, black bear and a grizzley) in case you are intersted.
Yes please - when you have the time, of course. I bought the DAZ (ex-Zygote, I think) Bear many years ago since Mrs. Bob has a collection of black bear toys, but his textures were never that convincing.
Thread: Market Place - Top - Perhaps Index Is Better? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think it would be more friendly if rather than having to click on the thumbnail, the popup would, well, pop up when you hovered the mouse pointer over the thumbnail. That way, there is less clicks involved...or to say it more simply, it will be one click just like the other method. It has to be an AJAX or jquery type of action anyway, so why not use the open on hover type interface?

I think the Top means top ten, or like that...the top selling in those categories.

Quote - Anyone else noticed that the store has changed and that there is a button called Top.
Hover your cursor over it and you get the list of sections for the store
So, perhaps this Top button could be changed to Index as that would make more sense.
Normally a button called Top takes you, well, to the top. At least with index, you have an idea of what it does.
Just my thoughts, others can agree, disagree or ignore as they please. Lol.
All the best.

Quote - "To use Reality effectively, one must understand the basics of lighting. It's not a tool for people who are lacking that skill set. Then, there's the understanding of shaders and texturing knowledge required to use the tool effectively."
Aren't those pretty much requirements for using Poser, DAZ Studio etc. effectively? I wouldn't ding Ford for not mentioning that in order to use an F150 effectively you have to know how to drive :-)
No, I don't think so. Many people may employ shaders in DS, but that doesn't mean they understand them, just that they know it will do something that they want it to do, often because someone else told them so. In fact, I've seen shaders as a source of confusion for many in the forums I browse.
A child using Crayolla crayons to make a landscape scene knows that she wants to use Sky Blue for the sky. She doesn't necessarily understand how to make Sky Blue, just that it looks right for the sky. Or midnight blue for a night sky. She knows how to press the crayon to the paper and make some color rub off onto the paper. Ask her to explain, and that's about all she'll be able to tell you..."Press the crayon on the paper and move it around and it makes color."

Quote - Thank you Laurie. BTW, there are many ways of accelerating the render and many ways of saving time by having a much simpler workflow that uses real lights.
Case in point, take a look at this post by FSMCDesign, the Dino scene took 18 minutes from start to finish:
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2849428&page=56
A typical Lux scene takes a fraction of the lights necessary for a biased renderer and that means less work and less tweaking. BTW, other renderers like VRay have the same time requirements and VRay is used extensively in the VFX industry. Like with everything, practice helps in finding the fastest workflows.
Cheers.
I looked at that, and it said 18 minutes to hitting the render button, but 7 hours to render!

Quote - Dana M5 comes with a texture that makes him well worth the price.
Opinion. Still just a morph, not a full stand-alone rigged figure, so in my opinion rather pricy. But $30...$300, same thing to me right now, I'm broke.

I got the $1 furniture...but I felt silly going to PayPal with just $1, so I picked up the Hilly Surround, on sale. Order went through OK, thankfully.
I'm waiting on the M4 character...I'm still unsure if I'll get M5, it's just way too expensive for just a morph, especially with my financial situation right now.

Thanks Richard, I added that to my address book on my Comcast webmail so it gets through.
