My eyes are scanning everything for symmetry now! :-P

So, I sat for a while trying to figure out what on EARTH I was going to offer to this forum, as this little town of Welkom in South Africa is hardly classified as "exotic"!!
Then I realised that, in a sense, it is because the whole town is peppered with gold mines all over the place.  It has to be the weirdest town to live in, I have to admit.
I've been here for 6 months now and I'm still getting used to it!!
So, here is a picture of a gold mine. 
We actually climbed up an old mine dump yesterday and I took quite a few photos. 
When my "spider" series is done, I'll be uploading some in my gallery :-)

Hope this is "exotic" enough!!

Zeldie - Well, it was just a suggestion - I really don't know any areas in Central SA - as I said previously, I've spent roughly the past 7 years in Namibia and prior to that I lived in the Cape!! :-)

I thought it was central enough but if it's too far, then don't worry.

According to the link:

Accommodation is in fully equipped chalets on the shore of the dam, and there are caravan and camping sites. A bush camp is even closer to nature.

I'm not sure of the rates though - I don't have a phone (long story)!

Hope some more people have got ideas?
